I hope it is because all the upcoming movies look promising. It all depends on the content. It always has.

And I was right . The only potential hits this year are Animal, Tiger 3, Jawan and Dunki . Rest all will flop badly

Also Hera Pheri 3. Adipurush might also work if they have fixed the VFX.

As India's coming out of a horrid pandemic that affected the whole world ...

Action & Comedy genres have seemed to be more of a mind-stealer in cinemas. Action heavy movies seem to get juiced-up on VFX, while comedy heavy movies with a limited budget have to have ... a really really good script to rely on. Pathaan & Brahmastra were star-studded and very VFX-heavy films. 😃

isn't that true for other industries too.....I mean RRR, BB and KGF are all massive movies......I feel that with so much good stuff on OTT.....audience will go to the cinema for something extraordinary visually......people can't deny that whatever content Pathan had....its a visual treat....just like RRR, BB, WAR, Bramhastra....etc......all these movies have one thing common...they can't be enjoyed on your TV screen.....definitely not a teeny weent bit phone screen....people watching pirated version o their phones won't know what I am talking about...😆

Not really, those movies worked pan india but their movies are performing as before even after pandemic

Example beast, Svp are star vehicles like pathaan, nothing else, they worked. All pongal and sankranthi releases did well.

Small films like masooda and love today without stars also are iworked.
then there were unexpected hits like kantara, karthikeya and sita Ramam which worked widely

Dhanush’s recent film is doing well

So the audience seeems to be turning up for alll genres

They have to work on their economics and budgets if they want different genres to work in theater, make it viable

Once the khan stars era is over, there are no stars of that level in the next gen

So big event films will need directors of that caliber to work

Investing on directors and writers is the only way which is sustainable
