But please be active on forum even if u stop watching the show... It's fun talking to so many people about random things not only about the show... If possible do post regularly please...

For me, the fact that I have to wait daily for just 20 mins of content is what makes me lose half the interest and the rest is the pace and plot and I'm sure that's the case with many. Moreover, I wish they told us how many episodes the show will have so that I know that it will end one day and I will get closure instead of leading me on till 500+ epis. It's best to drop the show once you reach your threshold though and I can understand why some may already have lost interest.

Pacing is the problem. Slow pace does not work in a itv model because the episode is only 20 minutes long. So we get 20 minutes of nothing happening. There are small developments but nothing major to propel the story forward. Also, the three weeks of ehsaan filled episodes killed the initial excitement.

Ya I totally understand how people from no where have come and made thei mark in business world.

But the thing is they stayed with one field in which they were expert or atleast started to know about it. What I have problem with is itv fl is talented in all areas. This is not possible.

Like I am good at my office in my field of expertise but I suck at event planning, I am not that social. I dont know how to manage most of the household chores. There are many people who excel at one but ok or bad in other areas. Thats how normal people are.

Lijjat papad women were expert in making vadi papads. They flourished there but we can expect them to have same kind of success in textile or hotel or IT industry unless they become multi millionaires like Ambanis and venture in every field with experts.

And as you pointed out, all these entrepreneurs have made their share of mistakes, have seen ups and downs before they became successful.

But itv portrays a fl who never stepped outside of her house, never ever thought of doing business is suddenly now an expert and better decision maker than an MBA and whatever she decides and silly plans she comes up with are instant hit. And these women are good at every thing they do. Thats a bit unrealistic.

I dont disregard anyone's natural talent but unless someone is so exceptionally brilliant he/she can't make progress without a proper education and training.

Based on how channel started promoting this serial with much more zeal & efforts in Feb & how more buzz is getting created by viewers as well, feel KA will be run by Sony atleast upto Jul 2023 that's like 180-200 episodes. Since its official adaption of a finite Turkish series, we mostly know basic story layout & that there's no scope to run KA as infinite serial.😃 (at most Sony can bring another season after a time gap)

Post covid lockdown attention spans of most urban/semi urban TV audiences have come down & so are more visual entertainment options available to choose, be it from paid or free TV channels or from free or premium OTT subscriptions or YT. But week day daily serial still works on appointment based viewing from Indian audience across many languages not just hindi. There's a large section which likes to sit before TV prime times to watch fiction dramas without knowing what's coming up next or predicting what can happen or just evening time family bonding.😳 Most of us know more than the story flow its that anticipation, engagement, curiosity or just for fun factors that drives a successful serial to run more than 6 months, if key characters are emotionally connecting with some twists shown.

Not every day there's some movement in story, but in a given week how episodes get packaged & promoted with some progress is what kicks interest in regular viewers to wait for even next week episodes. Patience is needed even for finite series on TV.☺️

Guess Sony last couple weeks on Fridays started giving precap's of next week with collage of multiple scenes for same reason. Also segments/bts, on sets coverage of media has decreased from how it was excess in Jan. Also Ehsan creepiness has been toned down in episodes.👍🏼 These measures can help bring some more viewership & also sustain major chunk of existing viewership. KA has got focus now, be it channel or makers won't unnecessarily fast track story. But yeah in character graphs, writing & execution, just hope they won't screw up much & lose viewership going forward.

definitely, I hear what you are saying and not negating the value of education and training. there are many women who started a home business such as pickles or sauces and it became a brand in itself. basically they take the skills they already have and then naturally learn step by step to expand. sometimes, life is the great teacher. even someone sitting at home knows skills such as managing budgets. it is about how we parlay those skills into a bigger picture. the problem with ITV is they don't show that kind of transition or thinking. thats why it looks totally ridiculous.

one movie I totally loved is mission mangal and how the women randomly took stuff happening outside the office and used that as inspiration. vidya balan's character was amazing in how she found inspiration in the most random things like cooking puris and then using that for technique in developing cost-effective fuel propotion systems. vidya also had a great collection of saris in that movie.

however, even if one has natural talent, there are going to be so many mistakes along the way and you always have a team that you end up leaning on. the problem with ITV is that FL has to hog all the limelight. she won't even share her success with other members in the team. instead, it always seems like a solo journey. that is annoying.

Other than super woman FL, who is master of all things under the sun, I find ITV annoying in every department, be it the way they create situations for marriage, the way relations are messed up, the way they celebrate festivals, the way people dress up to go to work, even in hospitals they go with full make up and jewellery. The way FL being taunted, tortured and thrown out of the house for the most silly reasons, and how two woman do cat fights for a single man. I am fed up with same non sense story line and execution each time with a new name

something that irked me was that every women in that meeting was dressed in pant suit like in uniform. that ticks me off in the subtle messaging that somehow we are only taken seriously as women leaders if we are in pant suit??? 🙄🙄

I know this aunty who is a civil engineeer. when she did her course in the 70s, she was the only woman in her course. women studying engineering was few and civil was not a course that women would choose in those days.

when she got to the office, some junior told her that obviously she won't be visiting sites for inspection because it won't be comfortable to visit a site in a sari. she gave him a dressing down and made it a point herself to visit every site in a sari before she signs the approval papers. (her job was to value designs and see if they met the govt codes and regulations for approval).

this aunty is very soft spoken and gentle but I still remember her anger and WTF tone when she told me that story. so I was reminded of that when I watched the episode yesterday -- why are all these women dressed in pant suits? katha keeps talking about things like meeti (mud), pottery -- then why not wear salwar and kurtis once in a while to office?

it is not that I have anything against westen formal clothes -- go ahead if that is your personal style. I tend to wear mostly indowestern myself. what annoys me is how they show every woman dressed like this in the office as well as in these meetings. why don't they show women dressed in indowestern as well as indian wear?

in a typical office, you will find all sorts of styles -- it almost feels like a subtle message that professional women only dress in western wear. that seems hypocritical when you do slides about pottery and checking the mud and made in india and appreciating local talent. 🙄🙄

just some random rant. think I got up on the wrong side of bed.

I was thinking to make an elaborate post on jarring dress code of Earthcon, mainly woman.😔 Its amusing that KA story is setup in Mumbai, Earthcon is purely an Indian firm set up on sustainability basis & running for 50 years but no woman at work place or for meetings is shown in Indo western fusion or in Indian work wear be it business casuals or business formals.

Thank you 😊

@ bold- Why what happened?! Kyu kam ho gaya excitement? Is it the pacing, characters, or the plot? But I do kinda get where you are coming from.

I think it's me, not the show. happens with me when I try to watch shows as they air.. aise hi beech me chala jaata hai mera interest.. that's why I wait till they are done airing to start watching.. This is easy to do with asian dramas which is what I mainly used to watch till I got in a slump 😭 Katha is my first ITV show in years aur promos mujhe itne pasand aaye ki I immediately jumped in.. but sadly wahi hua wapas 😞
