Anuj left the bed around 10 a.m.. He is feeling much better now. The fever is gone. But, why is he wishing for the fever to return? He is desperately wanting to have a high fever like yesterday so that she takes care of him. MAAya: Yeah. I am feeling very sleepy. But, someone had to take her to school.

Anuj: You could have asked the driver. He always drops her to school.

Anuj noticed the sudden change in MAAya’s facial expression. Her smile disappeared, her eyes filled with rage, and all her facial muscles hardened.

MAAya: I am never letting my little girl travel alone with only a male.

Anuj could understand her fear.

Anuj: Our driver is with us for a long time. You can trust him.

MAAya: Well, there are some instincts that only mothers have. I will never let my little girl stay alone with any random man. And, moreover, CA has motion sickness. She vomits throughout the journey. I can't let her suffer alone.

Within a few minutes, Anuj’s pride in being the best father shattered. Since he had to be at the office, Anu took the responsibility of dropping off and picking up CA. But, every day she had to leave for that house early in the morning, so she shifted her responsibility to the driver. It's a shame that none of them ever bothered to enquire whether CA was comfortable with the driver. They had no idea that she suffered from motion sickness.

MAAya: Hey, I have brought some fresh oranges for you. Let me make some juice. You just recovered from a fever. You need to stay hydrated.

As she was making juice, Anu called him.

Anuj(Immediately after picking up the phone): Yes I am fine. CA is fine. We had our breakfast. She has gone to school.

He replied without even hearing her questions. "How are you and CA?”, "Have you and CA had your breakfast?”, "Has she gone to school?” are the three questions he asks him every morning from that house. It's their only conversation throughout the day. Now, he does not even feel like answering. She does not care about the answers. She is like a broken record asking the same questions and he is like a broken record giving the same answers. Only to satisfy her wife and mother ego, he gives affirmative answers to those questions when the reality is neither he is ok nor his princess.

MAAya: Drink it.

Anuj: Ewww. No sugar.

MAAya: What? I have added enough sugar.

Anuj pours some juice into another glass and offers her to drink.

Anuj: Check for yourself.

MAAya: It's sweet.

Anuj(After taking a sip): Hmmm. Now, it's sweet and tasty. It was not before because I was drinking alone. Now, since I have company, it tastes sweet. You told me having a companion while eating adds a different flavour to the food.

MAAya(Laughing): That was smart, Mr. Kapadia. Ok, let me bring the porridge I prepared for you. It's tasteless. But, we will eat together.

Anuj(Laughing): Then it will sure taste delicious.

While they were eating, MAAya’s phone beeped. She declined the call.

Anuj: You can pick up.

MAAya: Not now. It’s from office. I am now talking with you. Once we are done, I will call you back. You know when the couple offered me a job and the chance to study, I became so overwhelmed. I was unable to manage so many things. I was also constantly thinking about my baby which did not let me concentrate on my work. Then I realized I have to focus on one thing at a time. If I constantly keep thinking about my baby, my past, my parents, then I will not be able to move forward. So, I decided to concentrate only one a single task at a time. To date, the motto of my life is to live at the moment. Now, I am with you. So, I just want to be with you. I just want to live in the present moment. Office can wait.

Anuj did not want to compare. But, he failed to ignore the stark differences in their personalities. Her constant need to be everywhere at the same time, her stubbornness to perform multiple tasks simultaneously has cost them their relationship. Was there a single moment between them that was not disrupted by her constant concern for that family?

MAAya: Hey, what are you thinking?

Anuj noticed a bit of porridge stuck in her lips. Immediately, he felt the urge to wipe it off her soft lips. His fingers itched to rub her soft lips. He was again walking down the forbidden lane. How could he? He left the table without eating.

MAAya: Hey, what happened? Did I say anything wrong?

Anuj (thinking): You did not say anything wrong. The moment is wrong.

Why did he have to meet the right person at a wrong time?
