Yes, yes..even I was surprised that you joined in 2005 like me.😆 We probably never had common forums. At least we interacted now, better late than never. 😆

IF is a constant in my life too. As you can see from post count, I don't post much.😆 I am more of a reader. I always know what's happening around IF.😆

• Were you part old IF, like pre 2015? If yes, do you miss it?

Yes I joined actually 17/04/2005 & Yes miss it alot.

• Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?

Kind of it has affected the quality, I see not many people active how they were before. And new members sorta have no clue how the old series were.

• Have you made life long friends on IF?

Yes many but majority have left or changed their usernames. Some I do interact outside of IF.

• How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity?

When I joined I was a fan of Tumhari_Khushi and I remember she said to me "art is art, doesn't matter how you make it" I learned my graphic making and sigs/edits by and ofcourse by many other editors. Throughout the years I perfected myself in making lots of edits and graphics. I was a graphicer and part of CC long time back.

Devashree_h, this is an excellent thread, that evoked a wide range of feelings and brought back many memories that we always enjoy recalling. ❤️

OMG TK. She used to make some of the best Sigs and Avis. And she was mentor to so many other IF creators, who went to become amazing creators themselves. I still have her Creations Gallery bookmarked on IF.❤️

• Have you made life long friends on IF? Well I am in contact with friends from old IF too so I would say yes but very few left from old IF. Made new friends too now.
• How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity? Due to contests happening in IF, I was able to write poem or microtales for 1st time in my life n learned a lot from those contests too. Also, game contests have helped me too in realizing that I am gud with finding things haha like that Xmas contest etc. I also love to read so i found many creative writers in IF.

Oh yes! I joined back in 2005. I think the atmosphere of those days on IF cannot be matched. It is a life long memory. I miss it and I miss those friends. Guess they have all got on with their lives.

• Do you think the quality of ITV shows has affected the discussion on IF?

Only partly. I think the shows at that time had a novelty factor. Not like 10 singing shows you get now. And there was very little choice. You even watched a Saath Phere until it really got intolerable 😆 But I think what really has affected is the site revamp. I mean no offense, I still love IF. But I truly believe the previous version was far more usable and intuitive. Maybe we just are used to it.

• Have you made life long friends on IF?

I made friends at that time. And I still miss them. But none are here and I feel damn lonely here at times without any of the old mates. Another reason of not much discussion. It feels too late now to start over.

• How did IF help you in unleashing your creativity?

I started off as a casual surfer. Became a Coolbie and climbing up till CM. Making MOTW, Contests, moderating topics - or even just casual fun posts - it allowed me to express which otherwise I hardly ever would.

I've literally grown up with this site as the one Internet constant in my life, so many friendships, contests, games and teams! Loved it, all the way through!

I do wish our animated avatars would return, it was an entire genre of graphics on IF!

Also, I personally haven't used the scraps or the slams or the testimonial features in ages, I remember I'd be so excited when I used to get one of those, and the long conversations that used to be quote-nested in every thread. Those were a legit pain to read/scroll through, but satisfying in an odd way when you finally made sense of the convo! 😆
