The death of Bollywood music

Remember the days when we would get to experience original songs being composed by music directors in every Bollywood movie, being churned out throughout the years.

I can't even remember the last time we had original music except pathan.

All other movies are becoming so lazy, taking songs from pop albums or remaking songs from the 90s and now even songs as young as a decade! What next.

character dheela 2.0?!? The original is still so recent and new. Or Akshay's movie Selfiee. Remaking Main Khiladi Tu Amari, and now just taking PropheC's entire song.

This is ridiculous!

I wouldn’t know a new Bollywood song if you hit me on the head with it. It’s that bad. I agree

Not to mention even the remakes are getting lazier. Initially they would take maybe a portion of a an old song and create a new song around it.

Now they just take an old song and remix it with a bunch of excessive noise to assault our ears. It's horrific.

I gave up when they took a perfectly good Raabta and made Deepika’s hips lazily sway to it. That was the pits of hell for me

agree. Current hindi music sucks. The singers sound the same in every song, and the tunes are all unhummable and indistinct

There is lack of creativity

Remakes are easily available to music companies and already a hit

Kjo does a lot of remake songs in his productions

Gone are those who worked out on the bollywood music lyrics writers music director singers

Those meaningful songs still play in our ears

Its been going down the drain since a decade...but music labels really decided to kill original music within the last couple of years.

It is so sad. The Indian Music Industry and Bollywood generate the kind of money which can really produce and create great quality songs. They just don't want to invest on anything other than actors.

I love arjit but I feel he’s been overused… agar koi gaana original ho bhi tu arjits over used voice jusr makes it sound like you have heard it before… awaazon mein bhi koi variety Nahin rahi

We complain about Bollywood not giving original music, but aren't we all audience at fault for this?

Jersey, a film with new, non-remix songs, how much has ppl appreciated it?

Same Shahid-t-series combo gave Kabir Singh, again whole album was having new songs. but Kabir Singh's music has more SUCCESS.

Audience only decide what they want to hear, they make that only.
