Ehsan did Viaan dirty in the last episode when he began talking about the latter's alcohol habits. At first I questioned whether it was Ehsan's intention to embarrass Viaan, but I'm convinced that it was.

I think there's multiple psychological reasons as to why Ehsan is the way he is. At times I feel sorry for Ehsan; I get the feel from his character that Viaan was always perceived as "The" boss by the employees due to his serious and dominating nature, and perhaps that works well for Earthcon. But we have seen Ehsan getting hurt at Viaan not consulting him in the matters of the company. I feel that all these years of hurt accumulated into a kind of repressed resentment towards Viaan. Yes, Ehsan considers Viaan his friend (I'm talking about pre-Katha), but he still feels hurt by the differences between them, which he doesn't acknowledge consciously.

I might be wrong in this, but I think part of Ehsan's feelings for Katha arises from the fact that Viaan and Katha didn't get along very well (even before the ONS, it wasn't all rosy between them). So now Ehsan is hell bent on Katha because I feel that he wants to prove something to Viaan. And now suspicions increasingly consume him when he senses the tension between Viaan and Katha.

Since the beginning of the party, Ehsan began getting insecure about the fact that Viaan was becoming popular with the employees (due to his personality becoming lighter). Till now, Ehsan was the funny, joyful kinda guy in the office. Once he saw that Viaan is threatening to share that position, he became insecure, and thus wanted to 'regain' his power by belittling Viaan in front of Katha. I think his intention was also indicated by the serious background music that accompanied that scene, which showed how uncomfortable the whole situation became for both Viaan, and Katha also actually.

I would have some sympathy left for Ehsan if it were not for that alcohol scene (and obviously all his uncomfortable behaviour with Katha), which genuinely angered me.

May be this was what the actor was speaking about in the interview . This sudden character assassination of Ehsan might not have gone well with him. Initially it was shown as he is the only support and friend of Viaan . Suddenly the creatives has made him look dirty . It should have been a slow process same like how Viaan character is changing , but then there are trp issues and channels call so not much time can be taken .

Bold- Ehsan's situation is exactly like this at this moment. He used to be the Jolly one,famous among girls and flirting with them. Whereas Viaan was known to be a reserved one. Now everything has changed after Katha's entry. Upar se mom ke provocation ke baad he has started seeing things differently. Ab Viaan ki domination personal aur professional level pe ushe handle nahi horaha hei. 😆

Bas ab jealosy ke maare bade bade kaand naa karde.😆 jo ki woh karega i am pretty sure.😆

But baki time he was soo much in mourning but never drink.. He is occasional drinker sayad and when he drinks it gets too much... But jo bhi ho ek employee ke saamne bolna was too much... Apas mein bolna thik hai coz boys do talk like this...

THIS IS exactly my problem with this writing. I feel they did this character so dirty. In a way after building so much nuance with the leads, they have done this supportive friend character very very bad. It’s almost like we are being told you know what don’t think that the supportive nice colleague is a good guy, sometimes he is the one with problems and the one who propositioned sex to you is actually a good guy, THAT is so problematic from a story perspective,

the whole thing reeked (pun intended) of a friend who is only naam ke vaaste friend. I am quite disappointed with this writing. I feel they weaken Katha also in the process. When she has told him to very politely to step away when he went to her home,…it should never have come to this.
