I don't think it was like character assassination. It very common among boys to boast drinking habits of themselves or other in front of everyone.

But since it was ehsan saying all this in front of katha then it can definitely have some ulterior motive of highlighting Viaan's bad habits.

But viaan was not offended because of it. He might be worried because he thought it may remind katha of that night as he was drinking at that time and also offered katha.

I'm watching the episode right now, and am wondering about how Ehsan looks like such a playboy in his deep-neck kurta 🤣 So bold of him 😂 😆

the costume dept. did katha so dirty. My god that is the worst dress I have seen someone wear on a tv show. Why would you treat your female lead like that? even aditi's prettiness could not save it. I'm scared to see what she will wear at the Earthcon 50th anniversary party.

Anyone else feel like Katha is liking or even intrigued by this changed Viaan more on the inside because of the fact that they had ONS together? I know we've discussed briefly about how Viaan/men in general feel more protective around women they've slept with but I think this can also be applied for women. I think physical intimacy has a huge role to play in developing relationships and feelings so perhaps Katha is trying to understand him more now that they've already had a ONS and he doesn't seem so bad the more she's finding out about him.

Ehsan did Viaan dirty in the last episode when he began talking about the latter's alcohol habits. At first I questioned whether it was Ehsan's intention to embarrass Viaan, but I'm convinced that it was.

I think there's multiple psychological reasons as to why Ehsan is the way he is. At times I feel sorry for Ehsan; I get the feel from his character that Viaan was always perceived as "The" boss by the employees due to his serious and dominating nature, and perhaps that works well for Earthcon. But we have seen Ehsan getting hurt at Viaan not consulting him in the matters of the company. I feel that all these years of hurt accumulated into a kind of repressed resentment towards Viaan. Yes, Ehsan considers Viaan his friend (I'm talking about pre-Katha), but he still feels hurt by the differences between them, which he doesn't acknowledge consciously.

I might be wrong in this, but I think part of Ehsan's feelings for Katha arises from the fact that Viaan and Katha didn't get along very well (even before the ONS, it wasn't all rosy between them). So now Ehsan is hell bent on Katha because I feel that he wants to prove something to Viaan. And now suspicions increasingly consume him when he senses the tension between Viaan and Katha.

Since the beginning of the party, Ehsan began getting insecure about the fact that Viaan was becoming popular with the employees (due to his personality becoming lighter). Till now, Ehsan was the funny, joyful kinda guy in the office. Once he saw that Viaan is threatening to share that position, he became insecure, and thus wanted to 'regain' his power by belittling Viaan in front of Katha. I think his intention was also indicated by the serious background music that accompanied that scene, which showed how uncomfortable the whole situation became for both Viaan, and Katha also actually.

I would have some sympathy left for Ehsan if it were not for that alcohol scene (and obviously all his uncomfortable behaviour with Katha), which genuinely angered me.

I totally agree with you. It's the increase insecurities in Ehsan which forcing him to behave this way. He just doesn't want to loose it from Viaan. I just hope makers will not butcher his character beyond repair.😆

Interesting analysis. I am confused the way Ehsan has changed since K-V returned from Dubai trip. But he started liking K before Dubai trip. Ehsan was okay with Viaan taking decisions till the moment V announced about Dubai trip and he understood it was to avoid Jaipur trip.

What I understand is Ehsan has a gut feeling about V liking K, but he is not aware of actually what happened between them. So he feels threatened for his place in K's life as he knows V has a place in K's life, even if they don't interact. And he doesn't know what is that V's place in K's life and he is not able to decipher anything from both of them. It is competition between two boys, he feels threatened. That is making him emphasis on his role in company as well.

To me, Ehsan-Viaan friendship was on a loose ground, not on equal footing. Viaan is the giver and Ehsan is taker. It can't stand long as it will be always tilted relation. Their friendship was never tested. Katha is the trigger that is forcing them to test the friendship. And it is bound to fail. But I believe they will be together till the end, but with insecurities from Ehsan's side.
