It’s just a build up for grand revels later on unless they don’t change their plan . It’s similar to how Sai realized her love for V in front of Devi . Remember Sai had almost confessed her love before V fell on land mine but in the scene with Devi she eas clueless because they wanted to show love realization for Sai in a grand manner .

How? Didn't they show that he's longing for Sai in real too? In his senses then why he won't get it in the dream...
It’s similar to Sai realization . Just before V fell on land mine Sai was about to confess then later she seems confused while talking to Devi in the terrace . That was done to show Sai’s realization similarly this scene too .Originally posted by: mysticriver
