Vankar ,producers and ML places happiness of offscreen patralekha above logic,truth and ethics and professionalism. This is the only reason this show has become an abomination,a blot in the history of indian television portraying a criminal immoral bacha chor woman as some devta ,a proudly bigamist male lead ,a criminal family getting to win every time over the only pure, righteous person in this story Sai Joshi ,who suffers and suffers.

It's sad the channel is allowing this clownery to go on even after multiple legal complaints and severe backlash from audience.

I will go a bit further, Vinu is Virat and Sai's legitimate child as they had a conjugal relationship when he was born.

In order for Virat to now demand sole custody the status of Sai and Virat's marriage need to be revisited as he can only file for the custody once the status of that is explicitly known.

Sai walked away, she did not send him divorce papers, had Vinu been found by Sai right after the accident, he would've been with her.

Virat would've married P anyway to adopt some random child, will he now fight Sai for custody after finding her and his kids alive?

On what grounds?

This battle is only due to the fact that P does not want to return what does not belong to her.

They will never show correct legal proceedings. For accident victims, the CARA rules are different. These kids if adopted can be claimed by biological parent later. I was appalled at the legal route taken in today's episode because it's not. Just waste of 10 minutes ss. Sai's case was deliberately weakened. Biggest error, P called Surrogate mother instead of Surrogate.

It was deliberate. Adoption rules flouted altogether n frankly have no hope here that something logical will be shown

Yes it’s well known his birth mother was an unwed college student .. she gave up her child but was not willing for the the adopted parents to be blue collared

So they promised her .. they will send the kid to college .. then she agreed

But it was very difficult for them financially… so Steve left college after a year or so ..

The point is the biological mother always has a voice to see where the child should be raised .. maybe the kid is given up for adoption .. but she can always get it revoked if she finds it unsatisfactory

Let's assume for a moment that P & V are decent folks. Will Sai automatically be given custody just because she is biological mother? I don't think so...doubt if court will go by hard & fast rule. First, V is biological father...so he has as much right on custody of Vinu as Sai. Second, Vinu has been living as Virakhi child for years...his mental & psychological well-being will be considered. Sai did not give consent for adoption & yet it happened for whatever reason. I'm sure there are real life incidents like these when a child gets lost & is adopted. The film Lion starring Nicole Kidman & Dev Patel was based on such a true life case - a 6-year old boy accidentally got into a train & got lost; he was adopted by an Australian couple even though the boy's parents did not give consent.

Since the adoption was not with consent, Sai can file a case. Due to complicated nature of the case, it will probably be decided on the merit of who will be better for the child. If we go by that, Sai had a huge advantage if she invokes the illegal surrogacy case against Pakhi. If P's record was clean, Vinu's wishes may be used to reach judgement.
