I went through similar emotions on 8/31/2019. I can actually sense what they’re both going through in this picture. It’s completely infuriating and bittersweet. You’re saying goodbye to your most beloved friend because you’re the only one who can make that decision for them yet you want to hold on to each other just a little bit longer. But know that it must be done so your furry friend can transition in peace. 💔

I’m sorry for your loss. 💔

I dread that moment everyday despite having lost so many people. I’ve never lost a fur friend so I don’t know how I’ll cope. All I know is that I wake up every day in the middle of the night to check that all four of my cats are safe and breathing. I can’t even imagine a life without them.

I’ve never seen a face more beautiful than a cat. ❤️

I love how puppies/dogs just wait on you with their 🐶 eyes and wanting you to pet then and licking you, and waiting on you to take them in their daily walk/stroll.

Thank you. I used to feel the same as you. I dreaded it even when I imagined it for a split second. It just made me want to throw up. I started seeing a therapist for months before pulling the plug. I went to every vet I could to see if they would perform surgery to take the tumor out again. I just wanted her to live but the cancer had returned and it was too aggressive this time, she was too old. Her eyes were becoming blurry, she wasn’t able to walk as well as before. I realized I was being selfish for wanting her to living another day longer. That gave me the strength to finally muster up some courage and let her transition in peace. Hardest thing I have ever done and will ever do.

Believe me, when the time comes, you will find courage to do what’s best for them because they will tell you in their own little ways. And know that they never really leave you even after they transition to the afterlife. I genuinely believe she’s still watching over me. Lot of strange things have happened to me since 2019. I had a really bad car accident few years ago and my car was completely wrecked but nothing happened to me, not a scratch, no internal injuries, nada. I came out of it totally fine. It’s like she pulled me out of the car herself.

For now just enjoy whatever time you have with them knowing they’ll never truly be gone. ❤️

It was. Thank you, Jess. 💕You remember? Yes, I lost my cat in 2011. It doesn’t get easier when any of them go but you certainly learn to become stronger. I miss all of them but letting my dog go in 2019 was the hardest, probably because I literally grew up with her. I love them all. But yes, dogs are amazing! There is no love like a dog’s love. 💕
