As far as I know, smell/odour of a particular item does not trigger an allergic reaction. The molecules that make food smell a certain way are typically not allergens so most, if not all of the time, smelling food won't cause an allergic reaction.
Now either Sumbul has a very rare form of sea food allergy or she just made some claims in the heat of the moment.
She is probably allergic to fish like she so claimed and that's why she couldn't eat any of it but her being allergic to even the smell of raw fish despite having no problems touching the same and breathing the same air while doing so, makes me believe she isn't allergic to the smell.
I don't think anyone would be questioning her allergies had she not made those preposterous claims.
