The problem is, they are purposely making Meerub act like a spoiled brat. Anyways her character isn’t of a strong independent girl at all. It’s just of a pampered spoiled brat, who will be disciplined by her mature & strict (also hot) husband bcoz her parents are absolutely useless.

@bold exactly. There is literally nothing strong or independent about her. If she was independent she would have been staying at a hostel and trying to do law and not acting like she is a nobody without a surname or identity without being a daughter of so and so or wife of so and so. The only thing she has right now is a hot husband who takes her tantrums😆

I have noticed a lot of people mentioning this. My point of view is that making him sign the “contract” was to bruise his ego and insult him. The “contract” says that they won’t have an intimate relationship after the marriage. But what does this mean? It means that she doesn't want to be his wife and she believes that he won’t be able to control himself. Insinuating that a no from her wouldn’t stop him and that's why she needs him to sign a contract. To insinuate something like this would be really offensive to any decent person.

I don’t really think this is something she herself believes, but it was meant to hurt his ego. This contract put him in a spot where he needed to choose between his family's reputation and his self respect. Like shown a lot of times in this show, he choose his family's reputation.

I believe Meerab to be a person who has a lot of self respect and doesn't care about what other people say. But Murtasim isn’t shown to be like this. He cares a lot about his family's reputation and puts this above a lot of other things. This is probably something Meerabs hates about him. I also believe this might be the reason he lost his love.

For her to ask permission from a man she doesn't like or respect, would hurt her ego and her self respect. Her self respect isn’t something Meerab would compromise. Seeing Murtasim doing this, made her probably dislike him even more.
