So i watched the og and my views !!

First of all please don't judge the show because of pH prev shows. Why i am saying because when i saw the og versions i got to know that it is definitely not what all are thinking.

The leads are different but not incompatible. The male lead has got the stinking rich traits but once the FL enter in his life he changed alot. They don't live together in starting of their marriage, she is prohibited to enter the temples and was asked by mil to stay away from her son. The FL took every blames and bear every insults because of her older sister kaand. Then ML realises that FL is not that after their money neither she wants to live in this house or do with this marriage.

She lives in store room which is said to be her room and where she paints and be an artist. While slowly the ML started coming to her room, where he is frustrated that she ignored him and showers love to his grandparents but not him. She also leaves house Freq Because she feels trapped and feels this marriage is nothing but a deal out of love. The ML falls for harder, he tries to change his ways, he even sleeps on the floor, eat whatever she makes. The simple things she do he loves it.

There is no triangle in this btw. He is the best husband we are going to see, yes only few episodes he will be cruel but later on he will be the one who will be actually make her life better and treat her like a queen. She doesn't go in kitchen btw as per story there are many labourers, she occasionally cook.

Seerat and Garry - there will be multiple triangles.

Veer and Keerat - the best support system of the leads. They are the cupid and the most interesting couple here.

Few things -

The FL actually get enrolled in the Arts College by her own husband. The ML and the family actually support her arts that's why they will choose her as designer.. she actually helps them in their buisness. And after marriage she became bold. She gains so much power after marrying him and he actually support her. He make sure she lives a life like a queen, she gets attention alot. She became the oldest Bahu and the fav too as grandparents treated her like a daughter so the others except her mil, but later on she became the supporter too. Where as seerat outcomes made a huge impact on her.

Jasleen character - she is divorce but there is a backstory. She was a materialistic person and she is one of the antagonists in the show.

I like the Hindi version because first the leads and cast are really nice. The storyline is much better than the og.

If they follow the OG, IF, I am here till the end because I would love to see that. I have seen part of the OG as well - but I couldn't dive into it because 1. there's no sub in hotstar and 2. exams - but I saw some of the videos on YT and they look really happy and the ML looks so smitten with her.

I have no preconceptions about the PH even though Ghum is a disaster, but everyone here keeps saying the story won't follow the OG, the PH is a disaster so I am a bit disheartened. But I hope it's a breath of fresh air and not the same old storylines that has been overused for decades now.

Ghum was a disaster because the og was like this. Plus the actors got married etc. It was a failure from pH side because of the execution part. They choose the worst og show. This show won't be like that because first, here The FL is strong, her husband here is support system not a cruel guy. He loves her, and he will provide her what she could not achieve.

There won't be any issues i guess in this show. Og screenplay and execution is kind of average. There were multiple flaws too in that og ...

Let's hope this will be good.

Fingers crossed because this show has such a fantastic cast and the OG is also pretty decent so I have so much hope for this!

Yes, and trust me they are very careful in this show because it consist Punjabi community. In choti sardarni they made the show very much positive. The leads were positive till end. So chill... Just enjoy the enemies to lovers ...

I mean they are going with the rabb ne bana di jodi than "Kiski pyaar mein ghum hai Virat?" angle. So that's good I guess.

Yes, ghum ka totally og storyline way mei Jaa Raha hain. We can't blame the pH too. This is og faults, and i guess The pH recreated the scene jabki i have heard that serial has happy ending so chill.

TMD has the best storyline even if they won't go in og way the leads story is slow burn love story and in the youngest couple too. While the middle one has so many love triangle that Geerat.

(I'm new here, sorry for barging in the discussions without introducing myself, but I couldn't resist replying😃)

Actually kkis too had a good plot in the og show... But they just ruined it. I wasn't active there because ghum had traumatized me pretty bad(I used to be active long back... Maybe old members might remember me), and just as I was starting to warm up to kkis and thought of giving it a chance they brought that stupid bigamy track and it went downhill.

And as of now, honestly speaking I do not like Angad AT ALL. I'm here for Veerat.

But since Angad and Sahiba are a central point of the story, I gave them some thought. I haven't been very regular in watching the episode tbh, cuz I literally have no time. I was restraining myself from visiting the forum for this very reason. I actually won't really be active for a few months right now, after that things in life should ease out and then perhaps I'll be more active if the show goes well.

So I thought a lot about what I would want to see in Angad's arc. Someone on the forum(I'm sorry I don't remember who) said that Sahiba means Queen and true to her name she'll rule Angad's heart. That kinda stuck with me. I keep imagining these post marriage scenes between them in my head... Wish someone would write an OS or something😛

Your post gives me hope🤗. I hope the ph has learnt their lesson with kkis and sticks to the og this time (ofc I don't mind a little variation here and there), cuz so far I love the cast and the aesthetics of the show❤️

Also want to add one thing, there is one department that deserves immense praise in both ghkkpm and tmd, and that is, the music department.

Seriously the music of both the shows is just awesome... its actually what finally made me relent and watch tmd. First I heard the Ranjha song and then started keeping up with the story. Then the sindoor scene destroyed whatever little self control was left in me... loved that song😳

Well, tbh this production house doesn’t have the tendency to follow the original story lines of their stories. While the ghum’s og show also was toxic, as far as I have read from fans, Kusum dola wasn’t as senseless and whitewashing pakhi as much as Ghum is doing.

Also, KKIS Bengali and Marathi version were really fun and light-hearted with lots of family scenes and cute nok-jhok between couple. The third angle was barely even present in the story and the male lead never let her impact his relationship with the leading by lady. However, in KKIS, they showed the third angle getting married with the male lead and everything was crap with the whole family going against Gungun. In the original, the family loved gungun and spoiled her to the core.

Honestly, as of now I am following the show strictly for the main lead’s scenes. I only read written updates and watch for SahAn and Veerat scenes. Otherwise, I am already getting the Ghum vibes from this show with the fake righteousness of Angad and the senseless fighting between the main leads.

I haven't watched the two shows which you mentioned but i have watched the og version of TMD, so i will say they are following the exact storyline. But they are following the actual og storyline for ghum hai ..... idk who is spreading rumours but every remake which is made in Hindi are following exact storyline except few here and there. Regarding pH messing up, i would say today every serial becomes crap after 100 episodes. There is no show where they have not messed the storyline. So that is something we can't do anything.

Leads are not fighting senselessly actually, the leads are here very different. I would suggest you not to watch if you are stuck with prev shows of the pH. This show storyline is different, there is no third angle in leads but rest two other leads.

Baaki it's a show, take it as much as possible in an entertaining way.
