They can. After Deviji's death, Anu will be all set to marry MAAya. Seconds before putting Sindoor on her Maang, MAA will rise from the ashes, take an auto, reach the Mandap in 5 minutes, snatch the sindoor, and give a lecture on Sindoor Ka Taakat for the next 7 episodes. TRP 3.8.

Anuj and Maaya look good together, I love her outfits. They'd make a well matched couple. Plus I'm sure she has no ex in laws to run back to and can actually focus on her kid.
