The beauty yesterday is not the chemistry during hug. It was the easiest part. What I loved is the conversation near the table. Virat losing resolve and was getting teared up looking at Sai while explaining/elaborating his lie. WOW both acted superbly. Both interacted exactly like broken mother and betraying husband unable to tell a lie seeing her state. The understanding of their characters and each other is showcased by Neil and Ayesha. One of the beautifully enacted scenes ever. 👏

yes…but he is regretting letting her go with vinu…because even though vinu is alive Virat regrets not being able to live with Sai, Savi and vinu as a family.. so he’s cleared it up for us…his heart wants to be with Sai and their kids…but patralekha and his duty are the obstacles in his life now. So if they show Virat patralekha marriage as being invalid it will make things much easier for him 🤷🏻♀️
You know I had this idea about Virat.. He is not a very complex character.. quite a simple guy actually with a few twisted notions in his head that he lives and dies by.. The first one is that duty must always come first. Second, it is this deeply ingrained idea that duty must essentially be unpleasant.. And in corollary, whatever is pleasant to do or gives too much happiness to the self cannot be duty. That is why after the deal phase of his marriage with Sai became real for them both and he started seeing duty elsewhere in what was not spontaneously attractive for him.. Then, now with Pakhi, his pointer in knowing what he must do is again this..that keeping faith with Pakhi is what his self doesn't like while going back to Sai is what his soul craves..so puritanically, he feels that thwarting what the self craves is where duty lies.

I hope it is not sarcasm. :)
But yeah DUTY is defined in ghum or Virat which is something you do without involving your emotions. It is an obligation out of your job, humanity or guilt. There is no personal "gratification". Be it love, anger or misery. For example: with sai, his duty to protect her later turned into love. He suffered a lot...but in love. His anger, misery and pleasure all come under "gratification". His emotions are haywire. Sai turned from duty into love almost immediately after marriage.
Contrast this with Sruthi and Pakhi. they are DUTIES. Never will he lose his temper or invest his personal emotions in them. He will lose everything but will not trade his emotions. He will give his 100% time, space and energy...but doesnt get "gratification". May be he will feel good later for doing all this because he feels better as a human being. It will boost his confidence and ego that he helped someone, sacrificing his needs :) And shows his bravado on Sai, and gets disappointed or betrayed if she doesnt understand his DUTY. His male ego comes here. Otherwise, he takes all these responsibilities with good intentions only.
While with sruthi, he was protecting her. With pakhi, there is something more. He is not only protecting her but also paying for his deeds (I think) or repaying as some gratitude (which they are showing as adoption).
Long story short, duty is doing everything possible in his hands without investing his emotions or derive gratification. Love is duty and emotions. He derives gratification even in misery.
There is supposedly a dialogue in KD from Rono, who says he would have done the same he has done for sruthi and pakhi even if it is a man. :) Ofcourse there, he didnt marry RK. But going by his emotions, he meant he would have done the same help.

virat is NOT duty bound, Thats how rono was written but this is vanker's version how to write an a*hole..
I find him manipulator ..One must learn how to get things done by manipulating people..He is that cat who covers his sh** by sands..Hope you got that..He makes unlimited mistakes but gets away by hiding under duty or self victimising..Thats what he had done after land mining..Thats what he had done after sai's first accident..
People may think he is doing whatever for pakhi is out of duty..Really??the narrative is clear and loud..He no where sees his future with sai who was his past and trying to stop her coming into his perfect life..YES THE PERFECT life he craves for..hence he has a lots for p and its not mere duty...All are thinking after vinu's revelation wil set sai and virat free..No but it will VP free..V doesnt have any grudges against sai anymore and after sai finds out eventually she too will forgive him because sai is not someone to uproot a child from he has been nurtured..So she will set V free without any grudges and also she knows everything about vp..
I cantt blame V for what he is ...He has been grew up in such environment where hardly any genuine warmth is found...Its seen how everyone behaved with Shivani's pregnancy news... He grew upm with people who put there image and place in the community first...Hence he chose p over sai ..unfortunately there is no two option about it..
I wonder why vanker made Virat wait five years until sai accepts him as her husband..all feels like a lie..
Im expecting some justice to sai and some punishment to both V and P ...Organic couple have lots to pay back
No, not sarcasm.. You have explained more in detail what I was trying to say. See, it's easy to say he is an A-hole, or that he never loved Sai.. But now it appears that he does wish that he, Sai and kids could be one family..he regrets that they're not.. And it has also been apparent throughout that there's no romantic love for Pakhi in his heart.. And he himself defines his relationship with her as duty.. And in fact, there are people like this.. I know a few myself who think that duty must necessarily be unpleasant and what appeals to the self can never be the right thing to do.
What if Sai had not come to know .. I am more curious how she will understand vinu is alive .. and this is the same guy
I believe either Virat's actions will sell him and Sai figure things out by herself as she always or with JM help.
Had Sai not come to know Vinu would've found out much later by himself.
yes most probably .because he’s not even fulfilling his duty to his kids anymore..so looks like he doesn’t equate duty with Sai and his kids whom he loves… he really needs a reality check.‘that they are his duty above everything else..he made those kids 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️Originally posted by: austen-eliot
