Will wait for the episode to air, but from the promos, I feel bad for Anwar. He seems to love his daughter.

And if it is true that he gave her away over the grief of his wife's death...then automatically he becomes a much better man than so many others in Pak dramas. Keen to see this father daughter relationship develop in the future.

Ikr ... she is suffering without any fault. I can't even blame her if in future she does things to irritate them all... like what the hell man, just recently you dropped the bomb of her real parents. The girl is in full of doubts nd now you throw her out to force her to stay with ppl she doesn't like.

Anwar may be a nice man but I am not able to like him or connect to his emotions. Like you said I'll wait for actual truth. But for now I feel they all are forcing a family nd relationships on her.

Let the girl decide what she wants...

They are literally making her question her entire existence. If all of them had the plan to eventually make her go back to her biological father then they should have atleast made her more comfortable with Anwar and the haveli. All the elders made a mess out of the situation. On one hand this khandaani family wants their daughters to be meek and submissive but gives away the girl to be brought up in a liberal household in the city then expects her to automatically accept their regressive household. If wakas Ahmed and his wife always knew meerab has to go back to that house why did they brought her up with such freedom and liberal pov? These two clearly knows how that khandaan works. All the 4 elders are screwed up people. They made a joke out of meerab's life simply because they don't know what to do.

Completely agree with your every single word... this is just stupid that they gave up on a girl, now they want her back nd not only that they want her to accept all the bullshit that haveli ppl throw at her on name of customs

You said it so right that all 4 elders just screwed it up badly and an innocent girl is suffering coz of them. No wonder meerab will hv this hatred for haveli ppl... out of nowhere she is being forced to marry the guy she doesn't like nd now she is being forced to accept someone else as father nd live in an environment that she just doesn't approve of.

Anwar nd family had all the interference in her life's every decision. Then why they never stopped waqas to raise meerab to become this independent girl..

This is like they are giving her some punishment for life...

Seriously yaar ... even though I am loving their chemistry but the story plot is so weak.

I hope they show better reason for them to hate each other. Not some silly reason like this whole parentage mess..

Last week, I was one of the very few who said let the slap remain if it's needed for the story development.

Alas, it served no purpose in the plot. That whole interaction was not needed at all. I see no need for Meerab and Murtasim to have that convo. Why did he try to stop her? Why did she blame him? Why the F did he slap her? All of it looked pretty forced.

Murtasim could have still been informed by haya. Later, they could still go on with the bench scene. The slap served no purpose at all. It has left a bitter taste in me. Why make a character so unlikeable without it adding anything to the story? This is lazy writing done for shock value. Really disappointed today. 😥😥

I used to think only Anwar was an example of 'how a father should not be'. Waqas gives him tough competition. Fortunately, Shanawaz has transformed into a sleeping beauty and has been taken to Kabristan. Otherwise, he would have overtaken Anwer and Waqas in this race.

What I found hilariously stoooooped……..which BTW i knew I would all along,. 🤬

The post slap situation in slow motion with real father looking on…. Yaar! Slow motion to romanticize slap pehli baar dekh rahi hoon…slow clap! 🫤

When he says “Maine pehle kissi aurat ko physically abuse nahi kiya” by using the English word, did you just cover your south Asian arse which is more permissive towards this behavior!!! Oh Mister, slap ke baad saying I am regretting it doesn’t make it ok, jitna bhi Tumraha life slow motion mei chala gaya ho!

Upar se, when he apologizes by saying “I didn’t know…” Matlab…it’s ok to slap kya …and she says “bantaa hai..” what the heck?!? So she is agreeing that it’s ok to slap!

this is exactly why I didn’t want to watch this show while it’s running, I knew it would spoil my mood.

Sorry but had to vomit my chota sa rant! Over and Out!

So true. That whole scene wasn't required. Vould have edited the whole scene and still it wouldn't change the story.......Merab still won't like Murtu and Murtu will have a huge ego. Their relationship will exactly be the same.

well said. In the sense, I don’t think a slap is necessary at all!!!

For me they should have reshot this episode completely. There should have been more belligerent behavior from Meerab so belligerant that Murtasim needed to have slapped her out of her belligerence.
And not have the father come literally two scenes later telling Murtasim not to raise his hand on his daughter, I found that to be such an after thought that I found it hilarious!!

He could have slapped her out of her belligerence and regretted it. As for the dialogue where Meerub says banta hai…That should have been removed!!

I don’t think I will be watching the show anymore, for me, it’s a stop. But not going to deny the leads chemistry which is what this show is banking on. OTT production and lazy writing ka aur Ek example hi hai

Positive points...

1. Yumna is amazing. This is my first drama of hers. And what a beautiful performance she has given. My heart is breaking for Meerab at every scene she appears. The sky has literally fallen on her shoulders.💔

2. Murtasim used the words "physical abuse". This has 100% been done to pacify those who will get offended by the scene. But hopefully, the character realizes he is wrong.

3. He said sorry for the slap. Yes it was done in a very half-hearted way and I was not convinced of his regret. But at least, he said the word. Little winssmiley36

4. Finally we know why Murtasim will say yes to marriage. Khandaani guy will never break dead father's promise.

It almost seemed like he is ready for the shaadi when he goes to the bench to talk to her. But then Meerab shows her self-respect and he is offended once again!

@red: I don't think Meerab agreed that the slap was ok. It was said more in a sarcastic way. Like of course it's okay to slap me...after all, I don't have a father anymore...so you don't have to answer to anyone.

I interpreted her "banta hai" in that sense. At the moment, Murtasim is the least of her problems. That bench scene gave me the vibe ki she is not as much bothered by the slap as she should be coz he or his behaviour is not her priority right now.
