So meerab mom passed away on birth I guess and Anwar couldn’t accept her so they gave her away. He cud have taken her back wren he tecuvered from the trauma cos according to her they have been insisting on coming to their place for bday and making decisions for her. Then why did they wait so long to reveal the truth. R they fed up of saying no to her wishes and making excuses. getting her forcefully married is the worst thing to do. New promo doesn’t show the slap. R they gonna cut the scene.

Wonder why Meerab is blaming Murtassim for her situation in this promo. Any guesses? How is he responsible?

The girl, Haya, is Anawar's sister's daughter, and both of her parents have passed away. Maa baigam told her that she would send her to 'dadihal' if she ever thought about Murtasim, which means she is living in her nanihal.

Annoying Anwar had decided to boycott his newborn as his wife died immediately after giving birth (as per promo) but what was the point of creating an image of a forever bachelor among the younger generation? I wish Meerub was born out of wedlock, at least it would end the fake khandani riwayat trend.

Bhabhi-dewar are looking at their profit margins. Bhabhi doesn't want khandani property to be taken out of khandan with Meerub getting married to someone else. Dewar wants his bloodline to be included in the next heir of the family and that's possible if M square gets married.

And that girl Haya is annoying like f$#$. Self-respect committed suicide when she was born. She is a factory of fake news and Murtasim is a consumer of her sasta journalism. When she knows that Meerab is Anwar's daughter which would make her position stronger than Waqas's daughter in Bhootiya Haweli, she still walks around spreading that Meerab doesn't have khandan.

One, she is hyper reactive and in shock, two if the whole marriage with Murtasim hadnt come up, this truth wouldnt have either. She could have continued living her life.. (the truth would ahve come out but she is no mental position to understand that at the moment)

Im thinking she is taking all her frustrations out on him coz he has always been her preferred target. Out of everyone, she sparks the most with him.

Even then, can’t believe he’d slap for that. Eww

Putting a romantic background and showing him lovingly caressing her cheek changes this very very wrong scene into a romantic scene....which should be avoided.

Murtasim does not feel like a toxic character as yet. But he definitely has a position of power in this family and in the situation. Him slapping her like that is a misuse of his power. But I still feel this is going to be a nasty game played by Haya. She will say something that will lead to him taking such an extreme step...

The only thing haya can say is meerab is an orphan and might be of 'bad blood'. How can that trigger him to slap her? Does children born out of wedlock or morally corrupt parents deserves to be slapped and looked down upon? Isnt murtasim said to be an educated guy? Being arrogant and stubborn is one thing but having low point of view is another. Only when did haya has such control over murtasim to make him loose his cool to that level? She has been someone who he don't give a damn about.

Anyone that holds superficial family values and use that to oppress others( esp women) are toxic. Murtasim didn't care what meerab was doing simply because he thought she isn't blood related to them and isn't from his khandaan. Even without knowing he tries to control her and forces her to do what he says. Now when he comes to know she is directly related to his so called khandaan he will surely go around saying hamare khandaan ki ladkiye ye nahi karti woh nahi karti, mein tumhara shohar hu so listen to everything i saw etc.

You are correct. The lyrics suggest that he has fallen for her. But again, the story could still be interesting and feel fresh if he attempts to do the things said in the ost like crushing her ego and making her feel worthless, instead of becoming a simp. I say this as someone who hasn't seen this done in other dramas, or maybe I haven't seen enough dramas.

How the characters respond and develop could be a good watch, granted it's done subtly.
