Good drama so far.

I'd say the slap should be kept. If the story demands it and the character is the type to do it, then it makes no sense to remove it. However, the consequences of the slap have to be done well whether the heroine eventually forgives him or not.

It would be interesting if the hero actually follows through with the lyrics of the ost and not fall for the girl like in every other drama. It would be unique, but it'll never happen.

I do not have a problem with the slap... If the script demands it, let him slap her twice. But the romantic background with the cheek caressing needs to go away...

Here’s a hodge podge of thoughts

- still can’t get over the slap

- perhaps the slap is why Meerab keeps rebuking him after marriage (in the teasers she shrugs off his hands and pushes him away several times)

- Murtassim probably doesn’t regret the slap as much as he should based on the teasers. For example, he still has a chip on his shoulder letting her fallinto the pool or threatening abuse by slamming the wall after her dance or shouting ‘I want to kill you Meerab’

- I’m obviously in for the love story but a small part of me is wondering if Meerab will leave him in the end cuz she just can’t get over the slap. Maybe the dargah scene in the promos is their last one together where they confess but she also leaves. They seem sad in it

and finally, Meerab, the biggest baighairat is me/us the viewers. We will still be on this ship despite the slap. Lol..but only cuz it’s not real life

They both has been on a push and pull thing since the start and that should have been where the line was drawn. If slap was so necessary to the storyline why put romantic bg right after that? Just show as it is. He lost his cool and slapped her and now she is gonna hate him for that. Why unnecessarily forcefully put romance right after it? I sometimes feel these writers are into bdsm 🤣

@red: exactlyyyy what I have been saying. If for whatever reason the director/writer feels slap is needed... Then just focus on the slap and the altercation between the leads.

Putting a romantic background and showing him lovingly caressing her cheek changes this very very wrong scene into a romantic scene....which should be avoided.

Murtasim does not feel like a toxic character as yet. But he definitely has a position of power in this family and in the situation. Him slapping her like that is a misuse of his power. But I still feel this is going to be a nasty game played by Haya. She will say something that will lead to him taking such an extreme step...

Actually according to the lyrics, the misogynistic hero has already fallen for the girl but is upset/angry because she will not reciprocate his ‘wada’ love etc and has done ‘bewafaI” whether he thinks it’s true infidelity or just bewafai towards his feelings. He’s speaking in anger and hurt borne out of unreciprocated love. But he’s so misogynistic he wants to hurt her/punish her

I would have preferred if she wanted to be the queen instead of being a girl without an ounce of self respect who just wants Murtasim.

Her scenes are annoying tbh
