Sahara1 offers women-centric

Sahara One Television comes out with yet another entertainer, Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai, a daily soap that premieres on the channel on Monday November 14, 9.30 PM. The story of a middle-class girl of values, Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai is about a girl Katyayani Purohit aka Kituu who dares to dream of conquering the world with the might of her pen, of how a little mohalla girl grows up to be a fine journalist, a woman of great spirit and strength, a face in Indian television…

"Our earlier show Woh Rehne Waali Mahlon Ki, which is one of our top shows on the channel today was about a princess who comes to meet life halfway, while our other show Hare Kkaanch ki Choodiyan raised a debate on whether marriage is about freedom or bondage. In our current show, Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai, we are looking at yet another facet of the Indian woman," says Purnendu Bose, COO, Sahara One Television.

Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai whose title track is sung by singer Shreya Ghoshal is produced by Manish Goswami's Siddhant Cinevision. The story of a young girl who with her inner strength, power to face life that comes from within…trials and the triumphs of the Indian woman and her journey to get there, through its main protagonist Kituu. But Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai is also much more than that. In this journey to the top, comes the lessons that Kituu learns in life – the story also sees a diehard romantic and a fearless journalist rolled into one.

Ami Trivedi, who essays the main role of Kituu, is very excited about her role. "I completely identify with Kituu, the girl who dares to dream big and makes it big that too on her own terms and conditions. I clearly relate to very well and am sure that many Indian women today will see a part of themselves in her." Ami is a familiar theatre face having done plays like Life Partner, Ek Akarshan Tejavi and Gujarati Bhaiiya Gam Gajavyu for over half a decade.

Adds Bose, "The inquisitiveness of an upcoming yet fearless journalist beckons Kituu to never take things on face value, and will rather probe into the nuances of an issue before passing a judgment. Kituu is a fighter who wouldn't compromise on her integrity even as a perceptively truthful profession seems to expect some from her. Kituu is a woman with integrity of iron and nerves of steel. While she unnerves some, she is alluring to others. The strength of her character adds to the show."

With Kituu…Sabb Jaantii Hai going on air from 14th November 2005, the time slots for two other popular serials on Sahara One Television have been changed. These include the repeat telecast of time of Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyan which changes to 8.30 PM from 9.30 PM and Dial One Aur Jeeto now becomes an half an hour show between 8 pm- 8.30 pm starting 14th November, 2005. Apart from this some big ticket movies are also lined up on the channel in November, the first of them being Pyar Mein Twist that marked the coming together of one of the most romantic on screen couple - the gorgeous Dimple Kapadia & handsome, Rishi Kapoor along with the critically acclaimed film Yahaan shot with Kashmir as a background Yahaan.
