Im in the minority here but i don't think Murtasim is one inch interested in Merab right now, love tu dur ki baat hai.

He is smarter and more pragmatic than her (she is supposed to be 21 so young and immature is not surprising) but also very arrogant and self assured. I do however think, he will fall first but his ego wont let him accept it and since a big chunk of her personality seems to be "Murtasim says Merab No? Merab YAS!!" she will have a hard time reconciling with her feelings towards him.

His possessiveness (in the start) will be more about him then about her and that's where I think the real tussle might come from. Like it's not necessarily Merab he is possessive over but the idea of "his" cousin , "his" fiance , "his" wife etc.

Anyway, I also think maybe his sister is going to get in trouble with that loser Malik ka loser type beta.

He's not in love as of yet. But he's possessive right now because of her being his khandan ki beti. Yet there is an inkling of interest in his eyes. Maybe he perceives her as a challenge. He's not bitter about her but she is. So he's going to fall first that's a sure.

That's right. Maybe in future many of her actions might be just to go against his word which in return might get her into trouble. There first scene I hope wasn't just a filler. Maybe she would get herself in trouble with those maliks or something hence those kidnapping and hospital scenes 🤔

@bold Exactly! and here I thought I was the only one who was comparing it to IPK. Haven't watched anything from ITV after IPKKND tho, but heard Ishqbaaz was more or less around the same concept.

Me too..haven't liked anything since I saw ipk😆 But this one is a poor copy...woh bhi 2 scenes....nobody can beat asr's swag and attitude ..plus khushi was poles apart ..such characters r not written now ..

Just the push pull won't make it look good..wahaj and yumna r in a league of their own ..a lot depends on how the story progresses and how it's shown ..normally all shows lose steam midway , let's see how this one fares...meerab is rebellious (which is right..given her circumstances) and the guy is mad only bec she is not obeying them ...I feel this premise is weak and done to death in all other shows .. ye sab khandan ki rawayat and izzat is crap ..if the conflict is only abt oppression of women , it will get repetitive after a while ..hope not

yeah, it's an overtly repetitive concept, let's see how this one pans out in the long run. Wahaj and Yumna have good chemistry, but I might not stick around for long if they keep singing along the lines of khandan and izzat lol.

I think I might be the few people who didn’t watch ipk cos I was going for higher studies and I was like I didn’t want to get addicted to anything and then be like what happened to the story in hostel in case there was no tv. But what surprised me was most of the people in my batch were watching it and was addicted. U can guess the noise when they opened the tv room for us for the first time 😆it was house full. I have watched bits and pieces and I know it’ story mainly cos of my friends I had liked Sanaya in miley so thought of watching the promo and first epi to see what the story was about but since there was a backstory thought of not watching it further. I guess the angry young man vibes is there in this too but arnav is a bitter too cos of his past and merab is no Khushi. But I guess this too r gonna have different kind of thakkar.
btw who’s kid is haya is she also Anwar’s daughter. That makes her and meerab half sisters. Also they said meerab is older than them. Maybe she was born out of wedlock and given away then Anwar married hayas mom.
