Indeed they are quite similar in that context, if Satya was evil saas & had opposed this rishta... Dev wud have surely retreated back too.... these two are unrealistically sacrificing ....
They love & respect their families blindly ...guess somewhere that connects both of them....
For some reason I understand Vidhi being mute was her expected reaction and we expecting her to take stand is unachievable dream...She has been raised like that a submissive child...she was never taught to have her voice & choice ....bechari pehli baar kuch kiya, she made a decision for herself & kya lanka lagi hai iski
It is true, they both are unrealistically sacrificial towards their families. Even if they are wrong they won't go against family. Dev is would never have pursued her if his family was against the relationship. Vidhi too is the same. Bass HP Bimla maan jaaye don't think she cares about anyone else's consent but theirs is very important for her.
@bold- Yup she has been brought up that way. Like it is a sin to apeak against or think different from them. They even make her feel ki they did some big favour on her by sending her to work and all. Aur iss vakt HP's condition is very delicate. He just has come back after a heart attack and gets worked up at the smallest of things. Any child would be worried at such a stage. And uski koi baat sun bhi kahan rahe hai dono. Voh kuch bhi bolegi he will make a big deal about it, and if his condition deteriorates Bimla will guil trip her.
Moreover I feel Dev himself would never want her to go against them. Even to Anaya he had said that sabse pehle maa baap baadme baaki sab. In the 1st or 2nd episode Dev was shown getting emotional in front of his mom's photo and it seems he immensely misses his parents. So I gueess he values that relationship a lot and would never want Vidhi to lose it. His own father also seems to be quite a regressive man. Isliye Dev doesn't find HP ott😆
