Just saw the episode and I have to say there is no way Viaan went through with the ONS without being attracted to her. Maybe they didn't show it frame by frame in the show initially but it seems like he already had feelings for her because I don't see why else he would choose to go ahead with it. Even when he made the proposal and when Katha at first rejected it and left his room he felt some kind of a relief so he most likely was attracted to her. Also, he definitely doesn't give off creep vibes unlike in OG despite putting forth the proposal and the ONS happening so I still can't blame him entirely for the ONS even though he was wrong at making such an offer in the first place and has no right to test any women let alone Katha. Perhaps his childhood and past really messed with his mind after being stunned with Katha's acceptance to the proposal. But that means he really has to feel the guilt once he finds out the truth about why Katha wanted the money.

Also, I've had a conversation with my friends about this show and it might be a generational/cultural difference but people have told me that to them ONS would not be that big of a deal when it comes to saving your own child's life and especially if they have limited time then they wouldn't look at exhausting all the options rather it would be more important to see what would get them the money in the quickest way possible. Just thought it was an interesting viewpoint and obviously everyone grows up with different values/morals/ethics and family background so some may or may not be comfortable with ONS even in dire situations. In this case katha obviously could have taken the rival company's offer or even called them back but her desperation grew to the max when she was pushed to the edge after seeing her son in the hospital which made her focus more on the money part rather than the mode of how she was going to attain that money.

Hey guys, amazing discussion here. Here are my 2 paise.

The last episode was truly a grey episode. One thing that I see missing in many posts is Katha is racing against time. She wasn't expecting operation until next week but now she has to arrange in one day. She doesn't have the time to wait for crowdfunding. Her in-laws have already rejected her twice. Banks and insurance said no. Company said no. Rival company is also a big no. I remember reading a post on to whom the designs belong, company or Katha. The answer is it's a joint property. If Katha gives it to rival company, she is committing an IPR crime and it will be a criminal case. Plus there is no guarantee that rival company will pay the amount. They can say that they won't pay and Katha could not get legal help because she herself has committed crime. I don't see any doable choice other ONS. It was not about money, it was about time. She needed money and she needed it now.

The 1.5 crore that she needed will only get her surgery. It's not a magic pill that will cure everything in one day. After operation, Arav will have 0 immunity which means he will stay in ICU for weeks. Medicines and other vital things will cost. She needs a job for all this. Which was why the shart that nothing will change on job. I hope the makers show all these details.

Obv we know Aditi is fab she has the capability of overshadowing her costars

She overshadowed both shakti and dhrasti with her acting

I have a question that in og proposal and everything happened in 2nd episode so how he was attracted to her...I mean onur to shaharzaad like I watched it and didn't see any attraction other than creepy vibes he threw . And I guess there too he was testing her but.....well his expressions are more or less same in all those scenes so couldn't comprehend .

That's exactly why Katha's decision comes in the grey category here, and that's one of the reasons that makes this story grey. There's no right or wrong. In some people's opinion, Katha cannot be whitewashed by calling her a bechari or a victim, mainly because she made this choice, repeatedly, while having other potential options around. For some others, she's torturing herself and is completely a white character.

But there's no black and white here. It's grey all the way. Katha is neither fully enjoying herself nor is she fully a bechari or a victim torturing herself. It's in between. I think @bhshre95 has made a clear point in a post a few pages back regarding this.

If we are ready to whitewash Katha, then why can't we extend the same logic to Viaan and rationalise his insecurities and thought processes?

If we are squarely blaming Viaan, then why aren't we blaming Katha equally for saying yes and going through with the indecent offer?

Nobody is defending Viaan here. What he said and did are definitely wrong. But it's great that the female lead is shown to be grey. In real life, people often make choices, some of which are questionable. Just that she made a very unconventional choice that's debatable, and that's not generally expected of female leads in ITV.

am more curious about the bag though. 😂 first that is a really nice leather bag and two, I didn't know that you could fit one crore into such a small bag. I don't know; thought it will be like big suitcase like in the old movies? 🤣
