yes, I think that is why he is so upset. I won't be surprised if they give him a backstory where he was continously used by people around him for money. maybe some woman broke his heart. his real problem with katha is that she asked for money right after she got the promotion and so her actions all seem very calculated. he has no way of knowing her back story.

people using others for money happens. I remember when I was in school, there used to be this really rich kid and he was super nice. but even as a child, I thought some of the other children were buzzing around him like bees probably because he was rich. and I am thinking this while I am in 3rd standard....

with all the pressure to network, to get ahead, to win in the rat race, someone rich is always prime target. and we saw it happen to him in the initial episode. he thought katha was different and he wanted and needed her to be different. but like all the women he meets, she also disappointed him. this whole thing would have turned out very differently if she had stated why she needed such a huge amount... so katha too has a part in this -- if you don't share your problem, then you can't expect someone to help you without strings.

Yup it does seem like he was used by people for money and might have come across many women who nust loved his money. So he was really hoping Katha would turn out different. He probably had started liking her a bit like teeny meeny crush kind if thing. And in any other circumstance Kath would have behaved exactly as he had hoped for.

@bold- agree!! She really should have told about her son to him. He would have been more than happy to help her had he known the real reason. But she hid his truth and the money she is asking is very huge. So ideally she should have told about his medical emergency. But she decided to hide it and it made Viaan think she is a gold digger. Permanent hui nahi ki agle din hi she asked such a big amount.

I guess she doesn't know him much and he doesn't come across as a very kind person so she might have thought if she tells the reason she may even lose her job for lying.

I too felt so. He does seem to have more in his past. Probably a gf who he loved a lot but she probably betryaed him for money or just used him or something. Lets see. I too hope there is more to justify his extreme opinion

exactly; just because he has the money doesn't mean he is obliged to give it to her even as a loan. even a small loan when your servant asks, they give a whole amount of background info. and they might be asking for something like 5K or 10K or 20K. you listen and then based on your budget, say yes or no. here, she is asking for 1crore, 2 lakhs and 17,000. say her salary is 1-2 lakhs per month, it is 100 times her salary. who will give so much without any explanation? the way she approached him -- from his perspective, it was like so many other women who had tried to take advantage. he felt cheated that he had given her a little leeway and she took it to throw a googly.

was he a moron for offering one night stand instead of just telling her 'no' -- yes. but he is reacting and not thinking. now, they are both stuck as neither will back out.

because he really wanted to believe that not every woman he meets will take advantage of him. that he can open up, be himself and be able to trust her. based on her work ethic, he really thought that kahta would be the one to get him out of that kind of negative feel and he felt hope after a long time. then she squashed it and now he is back in that dark world. alone and lonely desperate to protect himself from leeches.

I think there will be and we will have mixed emotions when we find out. many times, we only see women as victims in sad love stories but we hardly ever see the men's side of the story....

With the way Viaan reacted to this whole ONS thing, it's clear that he's got involved on some level emotionally.. He doesn't realize it but it shows (execution sucked a little though here making his reactions confusing to many including myself) and no way is he going to forget her now.. Gold digger hai aise sochega aur phir bhi bhul nahi paayega..

I would love to see this so much 😭 Writers didn't execute his side very well in this track (imo).. redemption track me chuk mat karna writers 🙏

One thing I loved about this episode, which btw ITV famously does in the beginning of its shows, but later dwindles is the two friends of the leads. Where leads are gray, make questionable choices, are driven to face palm us, friends always turn out to be the epitome of good and humane behavior. So in many ways, the two friends of our leads are the actual “heroes” sensible, righteous and supportive.

it was interesting how Viaan has never done this before so in many ways it’s not easy for him either. This was a good piece of info I thought.

I am always a sucker for emotions with no dialogues and in this way our leads hit it out of the park. On paper, Katha’s actions can be quite OTT, but somehow the actress is so restrained it’s a treat to watch. You feel for her, she has kept the meter on her emotions just right. On the other hand, on paper, Viaan’s can be too restrained, too subtle but some how our male lead is able to bring out his tug of war with anger and confusion with his eyes and face very well.

Btw LOVED the robe Katha was wearing, kaha se kharid sakte hai? Voh white with design on sleeves and pockets. And I did hope Viaan ne towliya ko saree ke pleats ki tarah pin kiya ho…Kahi aisa na ho ki anger aur aag babula valle emotion mei hips burst ho jaaye…aur Asha ki Kiran nirasha ki alag hi Prabhas na bann jaaye! I mean I don’t want to see you before Katha sees you…aisi nainsaafi uske saath hum honey nahi dete…

ONE thing that did sort of surprise me was that she didn’t think of her husband in the scene where she is contemplative and hopeful of why she is going through with this. Which only means, that in her mind, it’s completely transactional, I suppose.

Kind of bored with shawl uncle and Beuatiful pendant necklace Aunty. I ignored the dialogues and admired the clothes and set!! Matlab these fools are not even remembering the numbers - 1 corrode aur Kuch lakh…oh hello!! Exact numbers pe puri serial chal rahi hai bhai!!!!

Dekho behen log, I am not the only one obsessed with “bag”… bagwati is security bhai…in more ways than one!

Vaise as predicted they are moving into ONS next week and as some hoped I don’t think they will show anything except dupatta slip, buttons open, and close up on bagwati!!!
