The major difference between the two sides in the first Test was the quality in the bowling attack. With the pitch flattening out gradually, it needed varying degrees of skill with the ball and Bangladesh simply lacked the penetration to create pressure on India's batters. It didn't help the hosts that they were a bowler down in the second innings due to Ebadot Hossain's injury and skipper Shakib Al Hasan's existing niggle meant that the all-rounder couldn't bowl much at all. Bangladesh could also make a couple of changes to their batting line-up with the likes of Mahmudul Hasan and Mominul Haque likely to slot back into the playing XI. For India, stand-in skipper KL Rahul's injury is their latest concern. The opener got hit during practice and the extent of his injury isn't known yet. Batting coach Vikram Rathour however sounded confident of Rahul's participation in the game.
