And he can't see her tears / in pain / hurting. It's as simple as that. He forgets all the can't / should not he has in his head in the face of her agony.

I like it. It's instinctive, no pause to think through or any kind of hesitation. A firm touch filled with reassurace - both to her and to himself. His love comes through in that one gesture.

Of course she would. But I doubt Satyavati would quietly take it like Dev. She has the capability to drill some hard truths in a firm tone.

And you are right. Dev would temporarily take a backseat while trying to support Vidhi in some way.

I too think he won't back off now. Jis society aur taane ka darr tha use it has already become a dreadful reality for Vidhi. He will understand that if he backs off it will only leave Vidhi in a more horrible situation of facing everything alone. Abb baat bahar aagai hai toh log chup nabi rahenge. She has to hear taunts everyday from everyone including her own parents. And Dev can never see Vidhi sad or crying. Uska dil baith jata hai❤️

I am kind of hoping Vidhi leaves her house for time being. Its not easy to live every moment with people taunting you all the time. Pagal hojaegi bechari😭

I agree with @suvika that Satya's intervention is needed. Someone needs to give the sharmas back. Bohot zyada bol rahe hain. Dev kuch nahi bolega. Someone really needs to shut them all up especially that chachi😡

I really hope Vidhi sirf abhi HP ke health ko lekar chup ho but once he is well and badmouths Dev she should really give back to them. They are being so mean to Dev who has been nothing but respectful and polite to them. Jab pehle har koi Vidhi ki insult karta tha mazak udata tha it was only Dev who stood up for her not even her parents. Yeh log bass tamasha dekhte khade rehte the and prayed to God ki sab thik hojaye😡 it was Dev who built her confidence and made her a worthy person in her own eyes. HP and Bimla ke chalte she would have lived her whole life being meek scared and getting walked over by everyone. I hope Vidhi unko yeh sab yaad dilaaye and uski sari madad bhi ginvaye and shut their mouth when they talk badly about Dev ki tab toh voh bhagwan tha abb pata nahi kya kya bol rahe hai.

I would love to see that Vidhi. She need not be rude and brash. Makers can give her such a scene keeping her character consistent.
