I can't get he hates women ..he loves his mom and he was like sanskari man when in ydays episode some lady was interested in him ..

Even though it will be tough for us to root for him. Let's see apne hindi show ka banda kitna guilty feel karega.

I think some scenes will be very painful to watch. Even tonight's episode was quite emotional. 😭

Even in tonight's episode I liked his approach. He can't judge people coz of his father's betrayal. We have to wait till his back strory reveals.

Well, some EK shows have worse stuff.

It will work for ITV because the FL is majboor and widowed and the ML is taking advantage of her situation. He will be 'reformed' by her. Fits right into most ITV tropes.

Agree, I just said the same thing in another post about EK shows.

It won't be shown in a cheap way with 1000 lightning/thunder zoom in zoom out flashes. I have faith in them.

Here we hv to wait for sometime. Let's see how it goes. Here ML has problem with all the women. He thinks women just go behind money and rich men. To prove his point he will give that offer to Katha. 😡

Audience accepts abusive toxic MLs, forced marriages, etc. This is no different, but let's see. Sony audience isn't like other channels.

in the turkish version, the ML has a pretty messed up family background which has impacted how he views relationships. so he sees everything as transactional and women sleeping their way to the top at work or to land rich men as the reality. he basically makes the suggestion as a kind of dare because he has no context to why she would demand that money. basically the drama is also about his growth and him not labelling all women the same based on the actions of some.

we will have to see if this version can convey those kind of complicated themes and realities - it will definitely need great writing as well as acting to pull it off.

Great writing is already in the original (thank goodness) so the writers have a lot of material to work with. Plus, they've been promoting the show as an official adaptation of the original so they can't mess with it too much. They will just work on adding the desi + cultural touch to it but some of the themes are similar in both Turkish and Desi families/societies anyway.

From Episode 3, you get a feeling that Viaan had a troubled relationship with his father. But he loves his mother. There may be some BG story that why he doesn't like to remember his father. That might be the reason for his opinion about women in general
