As a working professional I can say: my boss - now my partner has always been more than a boss- colleague for me!
I look up to him. He is my mentor. Father figure. I owe it all to him, for helping me adjust to complete new style of work when I moved to this country. With different work style, way different building styles, everything.
I work in male dominated field. More so in US than it was in India. My husband also is in same field, though we work for different sections of it & in different firms. have never faced that jealousy- trust issues anything-
because that’s how most normal working families behave.
Over the years you do become friendly, like a family with work family.
that is another great aspect of growth & progress in life.
Balance is the key. Understanding is the key.
ITV usually fails showing dignity in worklife.
Very few shows. One I can think of was Dahleez.
Infact: it was wonderful how senior lawyer was mentoring & training junior - FL in her career’s beginning. Work-home mingle & boundaries were well penned out, in tandem with Indian small private firm culture.
Sadly Pandyastore lacks this sensitivity. Further sad part is, they know many small town- 2/3 tier city viewers follow this show. That’s their trp audience. They still show regressive mindset through their ‘drama’. Sad for women in such small towns who face such hostility on daily basis.
