And Alia didn't take advantage of her *friendship* to get herself INTO a film (DZ, RRR), either? 😆 Or more clout in film-making (GB)?
Big picture? Big picture is that she added as much value to the plot as a flower pot. Hence flower pot role.
Mouni got the meaty role out of the 3. And she did very well.
Nah... Ranbir's not a good actor. He's not even an average actor. He's below average. His PR has been careful to compare him to the likes of Ranveer and Varun to make him look good. That's it. Wifey is slightly better than RK, but that's it.
No one more PR-hyped in Bollywood than these 2.
Yeah like I said keep whining while Ranbir fans rejoice Brahmastra success 😆
@bold lmao that's your 2Rs opinion not a fact 🤣

When Brahmastra was released, it had huge propaganda from day 1. It is more transparent after hits like PS1 and Drishyam, who you didn't have 100s articles and calculations about what is needed to be a hit, it was a hit. You had jornos come out and say it Brahmastra needed 250 crore to be a hit with 450 crore budget, so much calculations, you had verified people on Twitter with a huge propaganda. Meanwhile you have PS1 that made 500 crore 80 crore more than Brahamastra, you didn't see calculations made. Say it is a savior. Drishyam is becoming a huge hit, you didn't see calculations about how it is saving Bollywood etc. Unlike Brahamastra, meanwhile Karan PR was all over the place. Respect to Ajay and Aishwarya, while their movies are hits they aren't on Instagram boasting about it, posting about what huge hit it is. Actually Ajay has moved on to his next movie, he deals with the flops like Thank God like he does with hits like Drishyam. Respect. You can tell the difference at how these 3 films were handled and the huge propaganda one had and tried everything acting like it is a huge hit
For some films the promotional marketing is OVERT
And for some it's more SUBTLE ... Isn't It ?
Why are people saying that brahmastra budget is for the triology and not only for part 1??
Are the vfx for the other parts already done? How is that possible without even the actors being finalised..
i watched drishyam2 in theatres on 3rd day n theatre was full n every1 enjoyed itOriginally posted by: M.Wheeler
I watched Brahmastra thrice in packed theatres.
I watched Drishyam's first first show. Theatre occupancy was just 30%
Those are ground-level realities. Not propaganda
I don't see why it is so hard to accept that Brahmastra did well for itselfIf your movie makes 75 cr on Day 1, you will boast about it. There is nothing wrong in that
Move on like seriously
honestly i enjoyed brahmastra just like any other time pass movie but dev-amrita story is the only factor which had created so much excitement in me about brahmastra 2, i really hope ranbir-deepika to be dev-amrita. I skipped shiva-isha romantic scenesOriginally posted by: HearMeRoar
With the kind of numbers that Drishyam is getting, highly doubt occupancy was 30%. It's a bonafide super hit. One anecdote vs. total numbers.
And KJo himself admitted earnings of Brahmastra was lower than budget, but budget itself was meant for a trilogy. Reasonable people would be willing to understand that, but if it's looked at a single film, it didn't make back the budget.
But the noise on social media would have you thinking Brahmastra beat Maverick. It's going to invite trolling when people see other movies doing much higher percentages on much lower budgets, with no gimmickery attached to it like 200 influencers gushing over it.

I enjoyed it too.
After watching Brahmastra with Alia & Mouni in it
Most people came to the conclusion on how Unselfish Ranbir was 👍🏼
This movie was STAR STUDDED
With SRK, Amitabh-ji, Nagarjuna-ji, and Dimple-ji 😃

It’s an excuse the marketing team came up with once it was clear the movie would never recover the budget.
Did the movie collect more than a lot of people expected, of course. By any other standard it would have been a success, but not when the movie’s budget is well above 400 cr. And the 410cr or whatever collection everyone is reporting is WW gross. I don’t know what the taxes are in each region so I’m not sure what the net collection would be. Think of it this way, had this movie been a blockbuster or even a hit or even a success you don’t think KJo would have been shouting it from every roof top now? All you see from him and everyone else is the WW gross numbers. Compare it to how Drishaym numbers are being reported. Do you see any talk of gross collection, or satellite rights or OTT etc? No because the movie is a massive success and the makers and analysts don’t need to scramble and come up with excuses for PR purposes.
It was against my better judgment to get involved in this discussion again as we’ve all been running in circles about Brahmstra, but here we are 🤦🏽♀️ (I’m facepalming myself here). My bottom line, the movie has been a financial failure but as big studios in the west do with franchises they’re probably looking at part two to start thinking about making money.

Sets have been built. That's a big chunk of money.
