Allu Arjun has been really famous for a very long time now, even before the whole Telugu film craze that has taken over. Majorly because of his dance chartbusters , it made people recognise his name along with his movies like Arya and not just view and enjoy them like any other random dubbed entertaining film. His identity kept building.
Precisely explained. I think he’s considered to be one of the best dancers in India including Prabhu deva and Hrithik.

I’m just asking that poster about nepotism in south that is downplayed on the forum. That could be be for all south actors. As I do feel there’s plenty of nepotism there
I’m also asking to see his kfc hoardings as I like looking at hoardings

ranveer's thirst and greed for awards is truly one of a kind

No. Do you have any links with English subtitles? His dialogue delivery is so strong, ohh I absolutely loved him in Bahubali, more than I loved Prabhas, he totally ate it and left no crumbs as the massive and Greek godish villain. Rana is a looker too!
I love it how when it comes to telugu films all we end up talking is Charan, Arjun, Rana, Prabhas, and knowing they all grew up together makes it funnier because the nepotism debate is so strong, that unlike how toxic it’s around the Bollywood nepo kids, it’s so cool and filmy around the Tollywood kids, as the Bollywood ones look so desperate and talentless except Hrithik, probably the only major nepo kid star who makes me think differently about Bollywood.
it is on netflix

Yes there’s nepotism down south too, it’s everywhere and no I don’t think it’s downplayed in the forum, there’s a reason that nepo kids like Charan and Arjun are the pan India stars and have worked hard enough to get the fame too, privileges can only help them to an extent but the success is only because they deserved it and they’ve been humble about it too.
About KFC hoardings, I don’t live in India so I don’t know but here are some links

I think the discussion on levels of nepotism is very complex, one can broadly say 0 and 1 those without and with connections, but the 1 can be broken down and unless one has comeplet info, it is tough to guage the connections and how they work
1. alia, pooja bhatt had production houses backing them and these production houses could also bring in good directors. pooja worked with vishesh films and mahesh bhatt was a top director then. alia got a curated list of good directors. hrithik also has rakesh roshan producing and directing for him, similarly dhanush has his brother selvaraghavan, even fahadh faasil had his dad (a renowned director, though not a production house), though it was only for debut. varun has his dad and bro, in south jayam ravi has similar set up. having a good director in your bag is a big privelege
2. jhanvi, sonam, arjun, harsh vardhan, allu arjun and most of the telugu stars have a production houses which produce for them and also can distribute etc. additionally the tel stars have fans from earlier generations which is carried over. karthi also had his debut because of suriyas production. kannada rajkumars kids also same.
3. big stars and their kids or those with good connections, dulquer, ram charn, abhishek, mahesh babu, pranav, ranbir, srk's kids, saifs kids, prithviraj, vijay, rajnis daughters, kareena, suriya, prabhas etc. sometimes they have prouduction houses too.
4. those who dont actively promote like kamal hassan and then some who are in the circles like ananya, shanaya etc but may not have productions. sundry like shahid, etc who connected but not huge resources.
lot of these connections and networks are not known and difficult to guage. for example what we think are outside production may actually be funded by these ppl, other business interests, leverage etc.
so it is difficult the know the level of benefit they get.
but at the top level are those in 1 category with production and a good director in their bag, especially alia who got multiple good directors
only ones with no connections currently big are yash, the 3 r's of kannada, actors like ajit, nani, vijay sethupathi, akshay kumar, aryan, tovino, nivin, vikram etc
A connection is a connection. Thats how I see it.
Are we doing a comparison on this thread ?
Or
Are we simply recognizing a GQ title ?
Or
BOTH...?
