hey there. 🤗 I woke up. Saw it was rain pause. And if match was stopped then we would have lost. — and tg we pulled off a win. This time due to actually fielding like we should have in SA match. Baal baal butch gayee aaj 😢😢😢.

Match ka timings are so bad :(. I so wish they were like SA match at least.

based on some IV's apparently Sachin was offered through backroom channels but he rejected it & suggested MSD name for it or at least it said so. The only unlucky guy who missed out captaining India is Yuvraj Sigh.. poor guy, even Gambhir, Sehwag & Raina captained but he remained as a vice-captain only.

If Chappell's plans had worked, we would've had a legend in the form of Irfan Pathan, who would score 100s opening & take wickets easily but destiny had another plans 😆

I said 1999 as we won like 1 match against SL for every 3-4 matches if not more 😆but after the 1999 WC, our records improved in ODI's. We won against SL in 99 & 2003 WC, joint winners in Champions Trophy, where weird finals happened - SL batted full 50 overs 2 times, only to be washed out both the times - without Indian even batting for even 10 overs. The Sri Lankan batsmen who really tormented me more than Sanath Jayasurya was a wicket keeper batsman called "Lanka Desilva", he played only in one or 2 series against India & our bowlers had no clue, how to get him out 🤣 As far as I recall, he remained not out in all of the matches against us, not sure what exactly happened to him... this was before Sangakkara ..

lolzz, that's true... SL became our favorite punching bag to cover our losses, everyone piled on records 🤣 Till date, SL still hasn't won a test match in India - even after being an Asian nation, imagine that 😆

Aus progressed to the final because they had finished higher in the Super Sixes table.

If SA had beaten Zim in their group game, they would've finished higher than Aus in the table, and would've therefore advanced.

We might even see a SA-Eng 1992 SF repeat in this tournament! 😃

oh god 😆 this reminds me of the centinery r whatever match.. India played vs Pak in Chennai - test match. Sachin played with a bad back, still 17 odd to get 3 wickets in hand, when he got out. Sachin could hardly move but scored over 100 ( still an innings I rate as his best test innings ), he got out with less than 20 odd to score with Sunil Joshi was already playing with Anil Kumble, Srinath & Prasad the follow = they didn't give away wickets to some speedster scaring them away or reverse swing but to Saqlain Mustaq, they added 4 runs to the total 😆. Sachin hoped, they would complete the win only to lose the match 🤣 We always knew how to lose matches, which we could win - we were masters in losing 🤣

minor correction, Aus progressed to the finals not due to the Super Six tables but it was because Aus won the previous encounter against them in the WC & a better net run-rate. Commentators clearly stated, if Aus drew - they go through.
