There are so many things to like about this movie..and yet people will focus on Mahira's acting lol, btw Fawad and her were absolutely gorgeous together in all the frames they shared..and that ferries wheel song (Duniya main apni kahaani le jaani aye) and the way it cuts to various other characters of the movie was a cinematic masterpiece moment! Absolutely stunning!

Back to the movie - Hamza and Humaima as Noori and Daro were sensational..they both have some insane screen presence..and totally nailed their parts..it was interesting how they tried to make Noori grey.with the feminist angle..but he was too much of a pyschopath to the point of no return because of his killing spree and madness that he is greater than God..Daro was sexy damn! She was amazing! Probably my favourite performance of the movie after Faris Shafi.

Fawad was very honest and sincere..but its just that when I go to watch a Fawad outing..I wish he would have got more moments to shine..he was a bit too dark and tragic and a tad bit too intense for me..like you really want Maula to easen up a bit..but the movie itself is so intense and dark that probably thats what Maula had to be...Its a bit like Omkara you know, where Langda Tyagi overshadows Omkara..Anyway props to Fawad for totally going for shirking off his image

I'm sorry but I also count myself amongst the people who have a genuine dislike for Mahira's acting. I haven't seen the film yet but just knowing how bland her performances have been in her own home-ground, Hindi/Urdu, there's no way she could've pulled off a role speaking in pure Punjabi. Majority of the reviews I've read have called her out for being the weakest link in the film. I agree that Saba would've nailed this and yes I've been a fan of hers since Maat as well❤️ Her role as the morally bankrupt greedy selfish Saman was played so convincingly that I had to keep telling myself that it's just a character!! Would've loved to see her pair opposite to Fawad :(
