Wheat flour shortage in east USA.

Indian grocery stores are out of wheat atta. Whoever can find, store some.

So it’s actually true? I only go to Indian stores to buy kurkure once in a blue moon and the lady kept saying they don’t have any the last 5 times I went. And then she said they don’t have wheat either. And I’m like wheat is so basic why don’t you have wheat? She didn’t have an answer. What’s happening? Is it the war?

After effects of global supply chain disruption I believe. I don’t know for sure. I read in May 2022 that by July USA would face serious wheat shortage. Didn’t happen but now I can see the effects.

We don’t have wheat in any of the stores around us in PA. NJ also is out of it at many places.

Last time my husband asked the store owner that how come you are out of the stuff on Diwali and he was like- I have placed an order 4 months before and suppliers just don’t have it.

I don’t know how to survive without wheat atta.
