So itâs actually true? I only go to Indian stores to buy kurkure once in a blue moon and the lady kept saying they donât have any the last 5 times I went. And then she said they donât have wheat either. And Iâm like wheat is so basic why donât you have wheat? She didnât have an answer. Whatâs happening? Is it the war?

After effects of global supply chain disruption I believe. I donât know for sure. I read in May 2022 that by July USA would face serious wheat shortage. Didnât happen but now I can see the effects.
We donât have wheat in any of the stores around us in PA. NJ also is out of it at many places.
Last time my husband asked the store owner that how come you are out of the stuff on Diwali and he was like- I have placed an order 4 months before and suppliers just donât have it.
I donât know how to survive without wheat atta.
