🏏ICC Men's T20I WC 2022 - S 12- Group 2 M 24- Pakistan vs Zimbabwe🏏

Match 24 - PAK vs ZIM - Pakistan vs Zimbabwe - ICC T20 World Cup, 2022

PAK vs ZIM: Pakistan will lock horns against Zimbabwe in Match 24 of the ICC T20 World Cup today, at Perth Stadium, Perth.

Pakistan lost their most recent fixture against the arch-rivals India by four wickets and they must be looking to spark a turnaround in this match. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, witnessed their tournament opener against South Africa getting washed out.

For Pakistan, all eyes will be on the duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who will lead Green’s bowling charge. Not to mention, their bowling attack, comprising Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah will have to churn out their best to get better off Zimbabwe.

But Zimbabwe will need to be on their toes in this game against Pakistan, who looks a more settled unit in the tournament. The likes of Craig Ervine, Sikandar Raza, and Sean Williams need to be at their best to stand a chance against the Men in Green.

Babar Azam and Co are the overwhelming favourites against Zimbabwe. However, Pakistan are in a tricky situation as they can get knocked out if they lose on Thursday. Much will depend upon Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

PAK vs ZIM Dream11 Team Prediction, Match Preview, Fantasy Cricket Hints: Captain, Probable Playing 11s, Team News; Injury Updates For Today's PAK vs ZIM T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 in Sydney, 430 PM IST, October 27

Pakistan will be aiming for a massive comeback in their second match of the Super 12 stage in this T20 World Cup 2022.

They were beaten in their opener vs India in what was a last-over thriller and the break after that heartbreak would have done them a lot of good.

Babar Azam's side now looks to collect their first points in this World Cup. An unexpected loss here can finish their campaign in Sydney.

The onus will be on the likes of Babar, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi to come good in this high-pressure game. It is a big game for Pakistan. Zimbabwe can never be taken lightly as they have some really good T20 players.

The pace trio of Shaheen, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah are going to play a big role in this match on the bouncy track of Perth. Fakhar Zaman has been declared fit to play the game but will he instantly replace Shan Masood, who has done quite well with the bat? Let's see what playing XI Babar comes up with and whether there will be any surprises.

PAK vs ZIM Probable XIs

Pakistan Probable Playing XI: Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Shan Masood, Haider Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi

Zimbabwe Probable Playing XI: Regis Chakabva (wk), Sean Williams, Craig Ervine (c), Wesley Madhevere, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, Luke Jongwe

Both Babar and Rizwan need to provide a solid start to their team against Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, Craig Ervine-led Zimbabwe will be looking to stick to the basics against Pakistan. They collected a point from their game against the Proteas after the match was washed out due to rain. Zimbabwe has nothing to lose and will be aiming to play a fearless brand of cricket.

Bangladesh v Pakistan - Tri-Series: 6th T20

Pakistan did not have the best of starts to their T20 World Cup campaign, coming out on the wrong side of a last-ball thriller against India. However, Pakistan found solace in the way their middle order performed after their openers perished in the powerplay. With their bowling attack also looking well-balanced, Pakistan will fancy a win in this fixture but come across a spirited Zimbabwean side who have shown promise in their T20 World Cup journey so far.

Although the average first-innings score at the venue in this T20 World Cup reads 135, a relatively high-scoring game is on the cards. Pacers have accounted for 66 percent of the wickets in the two games on this ground. While a few clouds are expected to hover about, rain is unlikely to have a say in the outcome of the game. Three out of the last four games at the venue have seen the chasing side come out victorious.

Matches won by teams batting first: 0

Matches won by teams bowling first: 2

1st-innings score: 135

2nd-innings score: 136

India have just thumped Netherlands by 56 runs, following South Africa's massive win earlier in the day. There's hardly much room for any slip-ups from Pakistan who'll be desperate to respond.

Hello and welcome to the third and final game of today's triple-header, which will see Pakistan taking on Zimbabwe in Perth.

The loss against India was a devastating one, and the best way for Pakistan to put that behind is on the field with a solid performance. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, were quite lucky to come out with a point against South Africa.

But they'll have their work cut out today on a pitch that will be playing into the strengths of Pakistan's pace attack. The conditions might warrant an extra seamer, so it could be a tricky decision for Babar Azam who firmly stood by Mohammad Nawaz after a day to forget for the left-arm spinner.
