Pattern of unhealthy attachments dear.
You need to work on it.
Daily meditation of 20 minutes will be a good support to get you out of this foggy zone.

I know, I’m trying. I want to break out of the bubble and stop fixating on the past. Daily meditation sounds like a good start.

Seems like commitment issues and FEAR of the future, expectations, fear of not maintaining it in a PERFECT way as of now (which is practically impossible).
Seems like you set impossible level of expectations for yourself unconsciously.
Something that hinders you , a glass wall kinda thing that is basically a fear of the future and what will happen next or precisely if it's good now, what's the guaranteed it will remain like this forever...or fear of something bad will happen...in short & simple worss its one form of ANXITEY, i.e. fear of unknown which emotionally shuts you down subconsciously to make you SAFE from the UNSEESN PSECEIVED MIND MADE damage/hurt.

No ... This one is way off!
Yes i did use to get burdened by people's expectations before but not now. I do what i want even if it's totally opposite to their expectations.
And also i don't fear and worry about the future. It may happen after some incident for a while i guess. But in general I'm very carefree about the future... Because... There's this faith on god.
There's this quote from a great being - when u get inside a train you don't carry your luggage in your hand. Cos the same train that carries u will also carry ur luggage.
So i do believe in this philosophy. I don't carry the luggage of expectations, anxiety of future etc (generally speaking) and have left everything in God's hands. But yes sometimes there are lapses when i forget that I've left all my care in Dad's hand (God) and start worrying myself. But i realise it sooner or later too.

It definitely will
Meditation is simple but not easy
Your mind won't let you sit still
But with practice you will be fine.
Results should be expected after 3 weeks and onwards.
Biggest helping key: You cannot stop thoughts coming to your mind, but you can definitely stop yourself from KEEP THINKING that thought . So do not try to stop the thoughts coming into your mind while meditating, but strictly be present and instantly be aware when a thought comes into your mind and then redirect your focus to the voice you are meditating on e.g. sound of your own breathing, clock's voice or a white noise of a air heater or fan.
If 100 thoughts comes in your mind during a 20 minutes meditation, redirect your focus 100 times towards the sound you are meditating on.
It will rewire your brain and even change the brain chemical reactions for better/best.

1. Always do 10 minutes of kapaal bhaati and 10 minutes of anulom velom in the morning.
These 20 minutes will be a catalyst to control a large chunk of your anger. I am practicing it regularly every morning since 2014 and can see the drastic changes.
Kapaal bhaati takes care of the anger and stress while anulom velom not just eases anxitey but balances out both sides of the brain , the creative and analytical one.
Point 2 and 3 are usually the byproducts of these pent up emotions and unchannalized negative energy which is taken out by the above stated 2 breathing exercises techniques.
Also daily physical exercise of work out, yoga or atleast 30 minutes of brisk walking will marginally decrease these symptoms
To address the issues (not the symptoms) you need to dig down and have to address the root cause to make peace with them once and for all to not these issues keep haunting you for the rest of your life in form of these emotional discomforts and dis_eases.
What u have said is true. These things do help a lot.
I used to be very deep into spiritual stuff at one point of time (like everything else i get into, i was extremely passionate about meditation too). But then family got worried and actively diverted me away from that path...
Probably THAT unsatisfaction or resentment is still there in my subconscious... Now even when i try i I'm not able to get that rhytm and depth in meditation which i had at one time... And it leaves me unsatisfied. it's like once u taste Rasgulla nothing else seems sweet enough...
There's no nasha in the world better or more intoxicating and refreshing than Mediation. Speaking this from experience. Though I've only tried tobacoo and alcohol but the nasha of DEEP meditation is far far much more superior than those.
Speaking like a true Nashedi 🤣 i should stop now

Accurate advice. Seems coming from a person who actually does know how to meditate or start the meditation journey. 👍🏼

Infectr the intoxication most people takes is to get away from the emotional pains, stress, anxitey, and all other uncomfortable feelings.
Its just a temporary escape but wont solve anything.
Meditation removes these distressed feelings gradually thats why it feels so good.
Key is patience, even if u dont feel like doing it, keep doing it, it will still be accumulated in the results u will see in few months.
I don’t have any flaws, I do it for the applause
