It is symbolic that they are divided by evil, and the evil is burning and the flames are reaching them. And they are trying to protect their kids, but the Ravan is not allowing them to come together. P sitting on the floor is the Ravan who is burning and helpless

Completely agree with this.

Even the last cap where they come out with the kids. With the burning Ravan in the back.

Just like they went to save the kids with the helpless didi in the back.

The kids went to the mela to search for their parents. They met them there.
