Zindagi na milegi dobara. It portrayed all lead characters quite well. There wasn't anything preachy or someone superior just because they are a bigger star. The story was about all of them.It had good pace also.

Dil chahta hai was definitely refreshing during its time, going up with a new concept of story. A good effort but they over emphasised the Aamir-Preity story and under utilised Akshay-Dimple one. This could have actually been an iconic film to showcase love between mature individuals. But lost the chance.

DCH. It was a trendsetter and at that time it was totally new way presentation, screenplay etc. of a BW movie to us from Gadar or Hum Sath Sath Hai type direction. It was a new age movie.

Any movie that breaks the stereotype gets bonus ! ZNMD is amazing too.

DCH by miles. Original. More real. Deeper characters especially that of Akshaye. Better music and more natural unlike superficial and more glam focused ZNMD.

DCH is a classic. ZNMD is not

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. It had a soul and looked beautiful which the other one lacked.

Dil Chahta hai by a landslide. Every single person in there acted well.

The other one was a poor man’s DCH. I waited 10 years to watch it after it came out because I thought I would not have any lingering preconceived notions against it if I waited till 2021 but naaah. Still terrible

There was an exactly similar poll a couple of months ago, I had said it then will say it again 😆

ZNMD didn't age well enough for me while DCH got even better with time. The conflicts and resolutions in Znmd are surface level, the depth was in poetry but not so much in the writing itself. DCH had better and deeper undertones in both its silences and seperations.
