She is forcing 'cute friendship' angle with him. She can sense the public will adore Abdu, and maybe she can get some more votes if needed.

One positive thing though.. She is often looking for love angles (romantic soul).. Now that she made Shaleen aware of Sumbul's connection and them sending of weird vibes (unintentionally), this could be positive for Sumbul's individual game and we might be saved in the end of cringe hugging and scenes.
