Yeah, I knew this was not going to be a popular opinion but I was simply presenting an idea. I am mostly a neutral viewer so I am not someone who will go out of their way to defend any of the characters. The father had every right to punish Malini but an innocent child deserved better. I am not discussing season 1, I am discussing this season as it is clear Cheeni has abandonment issues and that is a part of the reason why she is this way. By tackling those abandonment issues head-on, the makers can give Cheeni some depth. She is jaded for a reason; crazy, murderous mother who abandoned her, adoptive parents who died too soon, greedy and disgusting maternal grandma, and no father in sight. Giving both Cheeni and her father an opportunity to bond would provide closure and healing to at least two people whose lives were destroyed by Malini. Due to the open-ended fate of the character, I feel that you should be prepared for anything including a potential return because that's in line with how ITV shows go. Anyways, it was simply an idea that has potential to be a good storyline but it wasn't something I was about to discuss much.

@bold: Is it really so clear? 😆 I understand you are a neutral viewer but is it possible you are affording way more depth to the writing than actually exists? 😆

Cheeni is a wedge character - her issues are contrived and her so called "resolutions" will also be contrived whenever the show is in its last leg.

As it stands right now, she is only interested in being a gold digger and finding validation through craving materialistic things and power. Dragging her long lost birth father into it (someone she never even acknowledges as someone she feels abandoned by...lol) really doesn't seem worth the while now. Rest is up to the writers obviously. But as I've stated before, there is nothing left to pull into the story from the past....better they focus on future conflicts.

I would rather see more development for Imlie since Megha can actually act rather than whatever forced nonsense they are showing with Cheeni.

I am definitely affording it way more depth than exists lol! 🤣 I am going by her discussions with Rupi and my own reading of the character and feel that abandonment (on both ends is a contributing factor). She went through a lot, something no innocent life, no child deserves to go through. Granted it was all her mother's fault with an added dose of Imlie's stupidity. I mean if Rupi is here now then she was also available back then along with the paternal family to raise this child.

Unfortunately, Cheeni is important to this story no matter how much we dislike it and giving her a more nuanced character arc will help the overall plot. Malini was messed up but Cheeni has an actual reason to be the way she is; her trauma and abandonment. Problem is that it is all misdirected. Cheeni also had her greedy, selfish maternal grandmother influencing her all these years which is why she became a gold digger. So many factors have played into the Cheeni we have here.

Agreed, Megha is a talented, versatile actress and Imlie can have a great character graph. My issue is that because Cheeni is such a forced aspect of the overall plot, I would prefer it if she wasn't one-note like her maternal grandmother. The parallel leads and supporting cast are important and their own stories integral to the viewing experience. It can't work in the long run if poor Megha / Imlie is having to do the bulk of the work.

@bold: I hate to break it to you but you're watching the wrong show if that is what your expectation from the writing here is😆.

There is no development for supporting characters in Imlie-land. Whatever little there was ended in the first 200 epis of Imlie😆. All the imaginary development only happens in the delusional IVs of the third wheel actress trying to claim how "layered" their character is😆.....there is nothing onscreen other than contrivance. It is a long standing tradition in this show that the third angles will remain insufferably shallow and will gaslight everyone in the story. So I really don't give a damn about Cheeni and never will😆. The actress playing her isn't going to be able to add anything to her either along with the crap writing.....so I'd rather not waste my energy on that and want to see better scenes given to Megha and Karan.

yellow saree was better than whole lilac combination. @bold: Mummy pappa ka bhi shiv parvathi jodi the …. Yesterday I myself tortured by reading the synopsis of almost Milon tithi episodes in HS , even names are similar

Atharva; Arjun

Rana: Rana

Devika: Debika

Kia:Keya

Those who have hopes with Cheeni , I will say she is hollow than Original Character of “Bonhi” Atleast she have some reason, for attraction towards materialistic things . Here Cheeni reasoning seems to be very very shallow.

Lovely Aesthetics used as dumb as the sagaai was this was a solid moment and inka screenpresence and chemistry shined. they complimented each other so beautifully and i loved the way they did the Darkness ak use with toch ki light . tried and tested formula but still newness leke aaye in this. ALso Big props to whoever did the lightening ke darkness main bhi they made sure to show the faces and expressions clearly and not make it look dingy. their outfits also played a role at brightening the scene a lot

Her smile was so lovely here so much innocence in it and dulhan glow to dekho iska.. meanwhile appaluse for KV for brining itna expression out of itna bland non exitent writing for atu too teh way his eyes filled with tears made me go aww.. Bechara ek dum maha shock tha ke yeh kaise palat gaya sab.. funny thing toh yeh hai ke khud hi sab assumption pe base karke aa gaya haan karne sagaai🤣 nobody even had to push him to do it either😆toh ab kis muh se kisi ko bhi dosh dega😆

The tears in Atharva ki eyes like woh lut gaya barbaad ho gaya🤣....aur banaa dumb plans of using yellow sari as some kind of signal 🤣 Atu ke liye hi bana hai Zor ka jhatka hai zoron se laga😆 i was amsiued at atu ki tehzeeb and teh fact ke shock main bhi haath pakkadi rakha and choda nahi..

My fav. bit was when Rana Sr was like Cheeni is ghar ki toh kya KISI ghar ki bahu banne laayak nahin hai🤣. Atharva is a total clown right now trying to give sacche pyar ki duhaai over 2 meetings😆.....he deserved that smackdown from his dad ki who are you to talk about judging someone when you think you know love in two meetings😆.....Atharva was even busy crying over how he knows Cheeni like no one else....KUCH BHI🤣

Rana family is definitely more watchable right now than Rathores ka bakwaas with freeloader Rupi hanging around....hope the show shifts more to that side of the storyline.

@bold - so true and hope they shift to this side and slowly sideline older extras. But don't imagine to get rid of Chinni anysoon...
