Bachchan family's older generation fans had also bashed her then and said she needs to prioritise values of family after marriage. The Filmfare cover with Ranbir was also criticised and most oldies also said how did Amitabh allow her to do this. Though it was not vulgar per se.

Fans and masses who adore senior Bachchans are as old school as they are. I sometimes feel his biggest star thing comes from his regressive values he embodies in real life that most desis relate to even if he plays rebel type onscreen.

Ash probably values the name, wealth and security more than freedom, career or hoped to have her chance to dominate once old Bachchan couple are no more or lose senses.

Any woman marrying Bachchan son would have known they were marrying parents' raja beta and would lose own freedom and career especially as actresses.

I wonder why Bachchans always chose more successful and older women for Abhishek though? To give son more limelight and then rob freedom of bigger star wife and make her sit home? Earlier they had chosen Lolo for Abhishek.

That is what I wonder too. She is known to be intelligent but her choice of men she has relationships with, is questionable. Why would she choose Salman or Vivek of all? Or choose this regressive Bachchan family as if she had no offers from any big family?
