What previously standard thing is now considered a luxury?

In some places air conditioning is luxury

Nutritious food has become luxury for many people thanks to inflation. People are making do with junk. 😒

Air that is free of pollution, food that is supposed to be organic, coarse-cereals which were once considered to be consumed by people with lower disposable incomes are now being included in the menus of most fancy restaurants.

Clean Air and Water.

Human Contacts. We have more friends on SM than in RL.

This. This is what’s heartbreaking about many countries today. Real food is expensive, while junk is cheap.

I am lucky to be living in a country, where that’s not the case, but as it develops, I am certain we will see such a day as well.

Development shouldn’t be at the cost of public health and the environment.
