the main complaint of brahmastra was as you said casting and also that mythology was not deeply embedded and people expected more of that, they wanted to know more about the astras, its origin, the world, what they got was a love story which was trite

Forced love stories are the worst. Absolute worst. A lot of Lord of the Rings readers were upset when Peter Jackson made Arwen so prominent. She appears only in the appendices. Her love story with Aragorn is not significant to the destruction of the ring of power. Ironically, the love story that is important in the book is Faramir and Eowyn and that got brushed over in the movies.

Tbh, Brahmastra did not need Alia and it could have been a journey of self-discovery without a significant other.

Good looking thing is BS. Dharmendra, Hema, Madhubala, were all good looking yet they did all sorts of roles including street urchins, rural, street side folks.

I also don’t agree to some of the false excuses people make here for an entire lot of nepo kids being unattractive. Maybe we should focus on acting now ? There were plenty of people who have been both talented and good looking. Sridevi, Madhuri, Urmila, yes Kareena, Randeep Hooda and Leonardo are all examples.

Looks are also BS excuse. Rajinikanth is anything but handsome. But he is charismatic and talented. SRK, Amitabh, Dilip, Shatru had no conventional good looks. Yet they succeeded due to talent and screen presence or style. Aamir was cute, short and childlike but he succeeded in all roles including cop roles for which he was called misfit earlier.

SRK was very unconventional and even called ugly when he came, so was amitabh

aamir fitted the cop role so well in sarfarosh, again what a good movie out of nowhere and the supporting characters all stood out

Yes SRK, Dilip and Amitabh, Rajini, Shatru were called ugly when they first came for films.

Amitabh was bashed for dark complexion, called too tall, lanky and his voice was bashed as devilish and booming. Ironically he came to be most famous for his same voice and height.

Divya and Juhi had mocked SRK first when they were told he was hero in their next films in early 90s. SRK himself recalls how Divya mocked his hair.

But they all became heroes and big stars.

Today's lot lacks talent and developing own style.

She just can't accept that she sucks in acting 😂

P.S. I like Kriti. She is a good actress. But I liked her for her down to earth nature. But If she made that statement on KWK. It kind of comes across conceited. Imagine if Aish had said that in her prime? She use to be bashed for being fake.

If she's good, then I think the word "Good" has lost its meaning. In that sense, Janhvi, Sara & Ananya are good, even far better than PR Sanon. So, nowadays good means tatti💩

Now,We need to find better words to describe better actors & actresses. Even a chomu actress like her is called good, so standards are below the ground level now💩🤮

What are some films

Where you were rooting for the pairing of the lead actor/actress with the second lead/side character instead of with the main one?
