I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I genuinely feel Karan is trying hard to tamper the image of Ranveer. I'm not saying Ranveer is some doodh ka dhula but neither are other personalities from Bollywood. Ever since I had watched that episode on Netflix and now reading about his mention, it is like he is consciously trying to manage his image as some sort of wannabe/struggler because Ranveer is in direct competition to Ranbir and the former's personality is any day less tainted than the latter.

I have seen that episode. I must say Ranveer didn't come across any better either. But I don't expect anybody to call him out on it. He is not Alia/Ranbir 😆

My simple point is Ranveer is a 37-year-old grown-ass man. He is not a kid . He knows exactly what he is doing by associating himself with dharma

Karan has actually given him some of his best projects - Rocky aur Rani, Takth , etc
