Cameron Green | Player of the Match: I was throw into the deep end (opening for the first time) but having someone like Finchy as an experienced campaigner, he kept me calm. We had the luxury of seeing the Indians bat and Hardik must be one of the best in what he does, it was pleasure to watch him. It was kind of good to watch them bat, and that gave us an idea about how to go about while chasing. (Whether he'll continue to bat as an opener) I have no idea, I'll leave it up to the coaches to think about that.

Kohli scored a century, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar bagged five wickets in India's previous T20I, but both of them failed today. Kohli departed early, while Bhuvneshwar was thrashed by the Australian batters in the powerplay, and towards the end. Things are only going to get tougher from here on. No room for experiments anymore. Because there are plenty of other teams who have prepared equally well, or even better than India as we inch closer to the T20 WC. Australia are the defending champions for a reason, and we got to see a glimpse of that tonight. Will India manage to level the series in the next T20I?

who told you, India is going to WC to win it ?

Our players go there to enjoy the Australian scenery, roam around - have food in restaurants openly, they don't have that luxury in India & don't forget to bring their partners. If they get time roam around the beaches, safari parks, watch Kangaroos - pose with them & share selfies, make a billion bucks by advertising through social media...

They play matches just because they are forced to or else they will have to fund their trip.

The last time I saw Indian cricketers being serious was in 2011 WC, that was the last I enjoyed watching India - its been all commercial since then, may be the corresponding Champions Trophy in England was last - the one they won.

Fun fact:

India didn't take T20's seriously in 2007, which is why they sent all youngsters to the WC. They didn't expect India to pass super six stage, forget about semis = which is why all the main players were rested, they include - Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Zaheer & co. BCCI reluctantly agreed to T20 format.

net practice is for gossiping about wivesy, girl friends, endorsements & how much money they make in IPL.

Once Dale Steyn said, he didn't prefer IPL over another league as the discussions were more on how much did you get bought & revolved around money in the hotel rooms rather than people discussing about their craft cricket & how to improve it. DS was more interested in cricketing aspect of things, money was important but not everything.

Match practice and Net Practice is different. Proper matches me pata chalta hai how you're doing. Like that pak player Asif (who got violent vs AFG and should have been banned) said 'Main nets me 150 chakke marta hoon'. 🤣 But when it came to pressure situation in matches he failed 4 games.

BTW he isn't wrong in thinking and understanding where we are going wrong, but these things matter only when there are results in WC.

Congratulations to Australia for winning the match.🥳

It looks like we are lacking mental strength and physical strength too.
