When he was taking her interview and she said that her family was going through a financial crisis, you could see the words had an immediate impact on him since he was in a similar situation at that time. His very offer of the job was a sign of protectiveness.

Then the way he gave her the advance of her salary, without a second query, was again, a sign of protectiveness. As an employer, but nonetheless, it was there. Then ofcourse, the big scene of punishing Jawad for spreading malicious gossip..Sorry bolo Ayesha ko!!! Woah!

Then the offer of the ride home. Again, that question, ghar pe koi mard nahi hai...for a second there was almost a worried concern in his voice, just thinking that Ayesha is running the household on her own.

Post-marriage he had retreated away from her...but even then the balm scene showed his concern.

This being said, now time for the assumptions....I think Basit will find the idea of Ayesha at her mother's place itself something that worries him since he has seen how Qudsia had sent Ayesha back when the girl had wanted to stay at her mother's place for just one night. He won't be able to have her in that house for long because of his need to protect his wife. So even if he is angry at her, he will bring her back with him.

I think I tagged you to a post where I had made this assumption that Basit might have kissed Ayesha the night before that weird breakfast scene. Ayesha seemed to be expecting warmth from him and is all decked up for his eyes. And he just ups and leaves, and there was clear disappointment on her face as he calls Karim for his coat. 😆

You are absolutely right about Basit’s subtle display of protectiveness pre marriage. However, I saw it more as Basit empathising with Ayesha’s situation considering that both were similarly “majboor”.

I am now curious about the post marriage protectiveness ☺️ The balm scene was such a delight and he seemed genuinely concerned for a small wound. I wonder how would he react if it was a bigger concern. We may just get to see Basit in his full fledged protective mode once he begins to fall for her.

You could be right be right about Basit being worried once he leaves his wife at her mother’s, especially when he knows his mother in law’s nature. He’ll probably bring her back even while angry at her, just to save her from Qudsia. Can’t wait for this 😂

I don’t know how I seem to have missed your comment on Basit kissing Ayesha the night before the breakfast scene 🥰 Ayesha was downright awkward in that scene but she was so dressed up as compared to the other days. I loved her outfit and wonder if Basit noticed how pretty she looked in that colour and with those earrings ❤️

Maybe Ayesha’s awkwardness had everything to do with the kiss. They have shown Ayet sharing a bed and even being comfortable while sharing, considering that this is a Pak drama and that we will never get a straight response, maybe they have shared some intimacy. Who knows? Wish there was a way to find out 😅

I will suggest you give Garcia Marquez' novels a shot. One hundred years of solitude. It was a book I found to be unputdownable.

And another recommendation will be Manuel Puig's Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Anyone who likes films, will love this novel.

Both of these are books in translation of course.

Thanks alot dear for your recommendations

I will give them a try indeed ♥️

The scenes where you have butterflies all over your bodies

I missed such type of scenes with ayet

I could tell that these scenes are

1. the coach scene where he loss his control for a moment and lost in her eyes.

2. To me the scene where he came to her home confronted her to accept his marriage and not telling the true story in front of his mother and her family. This confrontation ans how she continued talking while he came closer to her was just ♥️

3. When he laid on the bed beside her at the first time and he was extremely happy to have this previlege and how he kept looking at her.

4. When he grabbed the book for her and his curiosity was something appealing to watch 😍

5. How he leaned to her the last episode to tell him the truth.

6. When she comforted him after the nightmare.

7. There are two scenes which I like maybe I'm the only one

One where he took her from the interview and held her hand spontaneously.

The other was the one why I started this show when he met qudsiya to propose to ayesha and returned back to office looking at her ( please if you could share your thoughts again about this scene

Awwwwwww it was fabulous and I rewatched it many times ❤️

@twerping and @Cappacuino and @rishdarling and anyone who wants to participate ❤️)

That's what I remembered till now and I want to have many other scenes because their chemistry deserves to be served!!

Also did anyone notice how Ayesha has Basit’s name saved as “Basit Salman” on her phone and not even as “Basit”. That’s how formal she is with him. I wonder how he’s saved Ayesha’s name. Did Ayesha formally take Basit’s name?

Also do you guys think that as their relationship progresses, Basit will stop calling Ayesha “aap” and instead refer to her as “tum”. To me, the aap sounds really sweet.🥰 What do you guys think?

Again forgot to tag Sarcy

be them discussing wet towels being left on the bathroom floor...

Ayesha be like, If I have told you once, I have told you a hundred times, do not leave the towel on the floor. The damp really gets into the fibre. The smell is like impossible to get out. Even Karim's detergent is failing.

Basit be like, So you think I am stinky? I get it. It all started from the shoes, didn't it.

Apologies in advance for my pjs.

🤣🤣🤣
