So true with how you described Feroze. He just fits into different characters so seamlessly that they seem like different men.
I actually like him best as both Armaan and Basit. Armaan was so likeable, the ideal man a girl could ask for. However, I felt his character to be very uni-dimensional. I think the female lead in the show didn’t do him justice, there was something lacking in their chemistry.
Basit on the other than is a very layered character. Like someone already said, he’s complex without being toxic. And yes, he can be both firm as a boss and soft as a lover. He’s solid and dependable but can also be emotional and vulnerable. He can be possessive and charming. I’m waiting to see his protective side towards Ayesha 🥰
Any guesses on what could prompt Basit to show his protectiveness towards Ayesha? Let’s cook up some scenarios! Also do you think Basit and Ayesha have kissed or made out? ☺️
I hope I have tagged the right people 🙈 Others please feel free to join in❤️
Basit is instinctively protective towards Ayesha. From the very first encounter they had, he felt a connection with her. Not romantic but he related to her. When he was taking her interview and she said that her family was going through a financial crisis, you could see the words had an immediate impact on him since he was in a similar situation at that time. His very offer of the job was a sign of protectiveness.
Then the way he gave her the advance of her salary, without a second query, was again, a sign of protectiveness. As an employer, but nonetheless, it was there. Then ofcourse, the big scene of punishing Jawad for spreading malicious gossip..Sorry bolo Ayesha ko!!! Woah!
Then the offer of the ride home. Again, that question, ghar pe koi mard nahi hai...for a second there was almost a worried concern in his voice, just thinking that Ayesha is running the household on her own.
Post-marriage he had retreated away from her...but even then the balm scene showed his concern.
This being said, now time for the assumptions....I think Basit will find the idea of Ayesha at her mother's place itself something that worries him since he has seen how Qudsia had sent Ayesha back when the girl had wanted to stay at her mother's place for just one night. He won't be able to have her in that house for long because of his need to protect his wife. So even if he is angry at her, he will bring her back with him.
I think I tagged you to a post where I had made this assumption that Basit might have kissed Ayesha the night before that weird breakfast scene. Ayesha seemed to be expecting warmth from him and is all decked up for his eyes. And he just ups and leaves, and there was clear disappointment on her face as he calls Karim for his coat. 😆
