Ganesh Mistry - I felt disconnected with the voice. I felt it requires direction and the singer was trembling in some of the words. Also, though I'd like to see him diversify his singing genres, I feel the makers are going to pigeon-hole him to more devotional type of songs.
Pratiksha - Lmao, just fan-girling Neha. Tsk, tsk, yeah the channel wanna hype this judge so badly for TRPs. đ€Ș Coming to the singing bit, I felt it was a bit too loud but not that bad. I feel a bit of polishing is required.
Pratik Arun Solse - I felt the song was not on par in comparison to the original because the original one had more of fun vibe to it. The remake (with Ritesh D) was terrible as heck. Pratik sang better than the remake one but wasn't on par with OG song, I felt more like yelling was bit apparent. I also noticed some pronunciation was off like when he sang zhova tuza ni majha zuda, I felt mispronunciation there.
Kaushik - Voice felt unprepared but voice can be improved if given a chance & direction.
Nahid - Reminds me of Shilpa Rao. I finally felt a different voice as opposed to the female singers that I've seen on this show going on the soft side, no offense. I felt the voice is understated and has potential to explore different genres.
Ananya - Lmao, Arijit's overhyped, IMO. Coming to this singer, I felt it was an average performance. I felt the attempt could've been better, voice felt trembling at certain notes.
Muskan- Felt like the OG was better. Dancing was bit too much. Felt the voice was forcing on itself or something.
Final Audition day.
For me, the standout contestants were Nahid and Ananya. I am not talking about the singing quality here - but the overall package, and what Indian Idol should stand for (in my mind).
But my fear is that neither will make the final cut. [Ananya surely won't. This is based on her IG activity, or lack of it]
Overall, one feature of the auditions was the fact that none were promised a song by the judges. And while there was hype about IL13, there was limited melodrama at the end of performances. This is a shift from the past. And good in its own way.

Does this mean there are no contestants that are clearly standing out as potential future stars, the way Arunita stood out for most of us here, and Pawandeep and Nihal stood out for some of us?

May just mean that Judges have decided to hype things down a bit at the audition stage.
It is very likely that Il13 will throw up some potential prospects who will have a bright future. We will have to wait for the time when Himesh makes his 1st promise. Vishal rarely does.
