I don't think whatever Basit is feeling for Ayesha right now is love. Rather we see a sense of ownership..like she is mine. He wants to be the most important person in her life and the fact that Ayesha is confiding in Fahad rather than him must be hurting him like anything. He has shown resentment at Ayesha accusing him of being heartless and tried to correct that opinion of hers by trying to explain to her his side of things in terms of Sadia's abandonment. He wants her to tell him what is bothering her and is getting angry that she isn't doing that.

Also we see that he has grown used to the small gestures of affection that Ayesha shows him through the many ways she takes care of him. He no longer stops her from pouring him juice or bringing him tea by saying that this is not your work. Rather when she is leaving after bringing him the tea, he wants her to sit and have tea with him. And perhaps he is also realising that she too needs to be shown some affection from his side which is why he brought her the flowers. Unfortunately the timing wasn't right for that.

As for book recommendations, tell me more about what type you want to read? Light romance, intense melodramatic stuff or something classic?

And Basit leaning in for the kiss is really in line with the time he kept holding her hand till she removed it and ran away with the excuse of getting changed or the time he turned off the lights and looked at her lying next to him while she resolutely had her back to him. But I also want to see Ayesha find the confidence to lean in towards him.

The way I have interpreted it, was Basit mostly observing Ayesha.

She was smiling, feeling at ease. So comfortable and homely.

Of course, we will never know unless Basit opens up about that one day.

I thought Basit was not jealous but thought hey.. this is something new.. I have not seen her in this way before here in this house. With me alone, she is always so quiet or holds back. Interesting.. Let me get there too.. Included.. And Fahad is there too.. I will pretend I will go downstairs for Fahad.

So now.. it is all about jealousy and distrust? I hope not...

The sight of Fahad and Ayesha in the kitchen bothered him for sure. And yess...the fact that she was so much at ease around Fahad, something he is yet to see when she is around him, might have added to it.
