Yes, now that we think about it. He was also very irritated on Ayesha calling Fahad when Basit wasn’t opening the door.

Also the kitchen scene (with Fahad helping Ayesha) which most of us thought was a simple curiosity or need for distraction on Basit’s part may have been some form of insecurity or the feeling of being left out that propelled Basit towards the kitchen which we know would not have happened otherwise.

Also don’t forget his line of “Khana khane ruka hai ya pakane”. He didn’t want Fahad to spend too much time with Ayesha.

Basit was also trying to subtly play the one up game where he claimed that he doesn’t have as much time as Fahad 😉

Basit saying that he doesn’t have time to help them in the kitchen while actually taking out time to stand in the kitchen and tell them that😂

Absolutely...the kitchen scene was the most blatant display of what is now becoming clear is Basit's feeling of possessiveness. Even with Soha, Basit had once gotten angry at Fahad for what he felt as Fahad taking Soha's side over his and had told him to call up Soha and expose Basit's real reason for courting Soha...that streak of possessiveness over Fahad's loyalty has only gotten magnified when it comes to his wife.

Oh yes, Basit has always been possessive over Fahad’s loyalty. However, in this case I feel that Basit is possessive over Ayesha and not Fahad. It is very clear that Basit doesn’t approve of Fahad introducing Ayesha to his mother among other things that we will see play out in the future.
