Saw the movie! Honestly I get the idea behind it and in a way applaud the effort. Ayaan needs to focus on the dialogues they were not up to the mark but the movies concept is something he can do more with.

Ranbir looked tired, and I’m assuming he will pay Dev next movie because that’s definitely going to be the meatier role. It’s not like he didn’t act well, but the love story is literally not convincing to me. It’s so abrupt and there is no world building , there is no family/friends there is nothing to lose but one another which is a mainstay of superhero movies.

Mouni’s character had more to it than Alia’s.

like okay the only person he cares about is isha, so where is the fear of loss except for her. You need more than that if you’re making a super hero movie. Add to that the main antagonist in the upcoming movie is his dad.

oh and my sister thinks she’s so smart, she was constantly guessing isha is actually evil, isha is junoon’s daughter and then ranbir is junoon’s daughter. I was like girl stop 🤣. Then she saw deepika and she was like wtf lol.

How will they shoot and finish this in a year. The VFX alone on projects like these take over a year. Some of you just say anything 😆

Work on trilogy doesn’t start after the first part is over. If Ayan has brains like any decent director worth his name. Script screen play music will already be completed for all the three movies by now, even if part two is not greenlighted. Also continuity scenes shooting and splicing should have been done too if Ayan was serious about part 2 as would all the pre production work. Because these are not something additional that he needs to spend on over Brahmastra 1.

Bahubali 1 was released on 10 July 2015 and Bahubali 2 released 21 months later. And that was when the scale was much bigger. That’s how trilogies are planned. Otherwise people lose interest if it gets beyond two years

Ayan had the benefit of covid to work on preproduction of part 2 and 3 with negligible costs

Delay happens in movies where a sequel is not planned originally but decided upon as an afterthought due to the success of the first movie.

For eg Ponniyin selvan has several continuity shots being done parallely for Part 2 (flash back scenes etc) as it has been planned as duology

The "Astraverse" is a unique cinematic universe. Since we in the audience are cheering for the real-life wedded pair, Ranbir and Alia have an abundance of charisma and style that jumps off the screen and captures your heart. In every sense, this is a stunning tale that serves as the ideal prologue to one of the greatest trilogies in Hindi film history. That will make every fan of Indian cinema happy. Additionally, for the money they spent, the VFX quality is unmatched.

Angreji dekh rahe ho Laundey ki uper, phir. Khan Saab ki entry shuro mein hi ho jaati hai, aur janaab kya lag rahe hain. Poori seetiyaan hooting shuro, ye cameo se badh ke tha. Mujhe Dev wala Ladka Srk hi lagta hai, he & deepika would be apt couple for Dev version.

It will give you goosebumps several times. Definitely view this movie on a large screen. The second-best 3D film after Avatar. Despite having a smaller budget than Marvel, a number of things were accomplished that sometimes exceeded Marvel. The hype was true to form. I am really excited about the upcoming sections. The starting point has been established. I hope everyone enjoys it and doesn't boycott it for pointless problems. A mythology well worth viewing. The explanations were excellent.

Alia's entry is biggest plus of this film. She completely owned RK in intro scene & her dance on chikni chameli was Super se bhi Uper. She has very prominent role & I totally loved her performance.

The entire cast performed admirably. I absolutely adored it. And SRK, a charismatic cameo ( playing a scientist called Mohan Bhargava). He is on screen for every minute, which is excellent. There is yelling and applause. It's wonderful to see how much SRK is adored. The Nandi Bail superpower of Nagarjuna also struck viewers as one of the coolest sights they'd ever seen on a big screen. Despite the fact that he doesn't have much to do with the plot, his character nonetheless manages to look cool and receive enthusiastic applause from the audience whenever he appears on screen. After seeing Mouni Roy, I have become her fan for sure, and it was a wise choice to cast her as this sinisterly cool baddie. If you possessed superhuman abilities, you would want to kill her since she captured her so effectively.

It is definitely entertaining and worth watching. Ayan Mukharji is credited with taking Indian cinema to a new level. His plotting and direction are remarkable. This VFX-heavy film surpasses all others from Bollywood.

I seriously hope for the sake of Brahmastra and Bollywood that Dev is SRK (chances are slim though as he is already playing Mohan Bhargav in part 1). He would bring so much earnestness and gravity and most importantly swag to the role that likes of Ranbir and Ranveer can’t.

I know for sure it won’t be Hrithik as he and his papa have plans for the Krish Universe so won’t dabble in another superhero role

If it’s not SRK then Ayan should just move south and pick up Allu Arjun of Pushpa or Yash of KGF for that role for their swag and gravitas

Deepika as Amrita would still be better than Alia even if she is not the best choice would PC work don’t know Kareena definetly not but the role commands an experienced and senior actress but not senior than Deepika’s generation

Why not go the ITV Route but then actress has to be a headliner as much as the hero. Mouni inspite of the spectacular performance is not a headliner and hence her absence in the promotion while shortchanged her didn’t affect the movie at all.

Would Ayan keep the casting under wraps or reveal it eventually

If not BW then I feel Mohit Raina (the lead from DKDM) would also look great as Dev. Or Rana Daggubati.

They've already shown Deepu as Amrita so they are probably gonna go that route.

Still feel it's going to be RK vs RK. He has given a lot of his time to this movie. Don't think the team is going to let anyone else steal the thunder.

If they can somehow manage to rope In Anushka Shetty and Prabhas as Amrita and Dev, the whole thing will reach another level. But then they will own the movie and leave little else for the likes of Ranbir.Doubt Ranbir will agree to become another Abhishek of Dhoom.Even when the entire screenplay was about only him, he failed to make any strong impression.

SRK has been giving flops for so many years, I doubt he can headline a movie on his own. He’s good for supporting roles and side piece roles for now

Now? You forgot the way these people clamored for the south India movie goers’ attention and the huge part Rajamouli played in lending his credibility to the product which contributed to the so called ‘impact?

Interesting concept diluted by a terrible love story, chemistry-less couple, some awful acting by Alia, Ranbir looking bored out of his mind. The less said about dialogues and screenplay the better. Editing needed to cut out a good chunk of the love story. I was craving a FF button at many times.

The VFX is good and Ayan's concept is truly interesting. The cameos are good and Mouni was clearly the best of the lot.
